  1. Thank you for writing this. I am one of the new people who does not want to post for support because I am fearful of being put in the middle of the nasty writings.

I was sad yester day when I saw people attacking and horrid language used in Arabic from one sister to another, sisters gosipping. It's horrible, I am an Arabic speaker and I hard to believe one sister called another sister some terrible names with Arabic. Is all dis-respectful to Allah (swt) especialy at this special time of year. I want nothing to do with this forum.

I am sad because I thought I had found a group of support, and not it seems.

My English writing is not perfect and I ask for tolerance with spelling mistakes.

  2. Ladies, I hope you all do not think I am over stepping good manners for the forum, but I am new and shocked at the viciousness here amongst sisters. It is alittle scarey. But I must, stand up for what I believe. I take no sides here but Allah ( PBUH). What "sect" of Islam I was born into does not matter; neither does it matter for you and should not be used as a platform for vicious personal debate like this.

His words are NOT open to mortal debate like this disrespectful of other sisters is not respectful to Him. Please show restraint in respect of Him and other sisters.

I hope I have not overstepped VisaJourney rules or manners as I am new, but being a good Muslim is more important than following rules of VisaJourney ettiquette. I have little experience with message forums and I am alittle shocked but I had to say something.

    Please understand.

Peace be Upon Him and You All (F)

  3. ..but I am starting to get a handle on the whole immigration process, I think.

I was given a friendly welcome and told to check the "Middle Eastern forum". Thankyou Jenn for the warm welcome, I am sorry I did not find this place sooner!

I will introduce. I am Yasmine and my fiance is Moroccan. I am an interpreter and we met in Spain ( I got a 1 year college assignment there, it was wonderful). He was working temporarily as a landscaper ( I call it a gardner and he gets annoyed, only playfully, though).

We are currently waiting for his interview to be scheduled for our K-1 visa.

It is so wonderful to find this place where we can meet and the fact that there is region specific forums is marvellous. I have been all over the internet and lurked in here afew times as a guest, but I decided to join and post as I thought that I could offer support and receive it also.

    Thank you

    Yasmine.

  5. I just want to introduce myself. I am Yasmine and my fiance is Rashid. He is Moroccan and I am a United States Citizen. We met at my local mosque, while I was living in Southern Spain . I was working in Spain as an interpreter and he was working in Spain temporarily as a gardner!, Yes, that is a long story.

After many trips back to Morocco from Spain, when my working contract was up, I had to return to the USA. I filed for the K-1 when I got here. In hindsight, I am thinking, we should have just got married there and filed for the K-3, but my parents are too old and infirm to travel that distance for the celebration and to even meet his parents and family, so they are traveling here for our wedding. Yes, that took alot of arranging.

Thank you for reading my little introduction here.

    :)

    Yasmine.
