Hi sis..did you went ahead with the interview without the packet 3? Please enlighten me :( My case was ready since April 5 and no packet 3 yet thus I decided to book an appointment this coming June 10. I really do not know if I should proceed or not..

Hello @Xie_xong I waited about 2 months since my case status updated to "ready" until I decided to book my appointment. I went and had the interview at the USEM without the packet 3 and the Immigrations officer asked for it though (just had to be a little aggressive and they almost refused to do interview without the packet 3) I don't suggest doing the same thing because there's a change that your case isn't in the embassy yet. You can try if it's been on ready status for months but be mindful as well that Ramadan can also affect their workload.

Hello, everyone. I want to ask who had any experience in proving US domicile for DOD contractors? I am living in Kuwait with my fiance and we are arranging the needed documents for the K1 visa interview. We are still waiting for our NOA2 but we want to prepare ahead of time, hoping to get married before New Years.  Are there specific documents to prove his domicile? My fiance has a yearly contract with a third party US firm. I have read some forums that the petitioner had to write a letter indicating he will not renew his contract, I do not want him to resign from his job if the visa will be rejected. Thanks in advance to those who can assist me in this topic.

Hi! My fiance works as a DOD contractor in Kuwait as well. I had my interview last month in Abu Dhabi and got a 221g which is a temporary refusal. The CO asked for more proof of domicile and a letter from my fiance stating future plans.  During the interview I gave them his W2 from 2014-2016, 1040 and 1099 forms, bank statements, loan agreement and mortgage papers, and utility bills under his name. Just last Thursday, I sent the additional documents which I assume they need (since they never mentioned what specific papers they want) along with my passport. Hopefully I'll hear good news from the embassy within the week.

hi angel. we have the same case. we received already noa2 and the status now of our case number in the us consulate dubai is under processing. i would like to ask, have you received already the letter from the embassy? abudhabi or dubai?

Hello! You're also a beneficiary for K1 visa? I think you got a bit confused with the embassy/consulate. For k1 visas, they are all being processed/forwarded to the USEM in Abu Dhabi as far as I know. With regards to the letter from the embassy or that packet3 they call, I never received it and I've known a few people who pushed through the interview without it that's why I just took the risk of scheduling the interview too. I hope it goes well just like those beneficiaries that I've known.

  4. Hello everyone!

I am the beneficiary and I made a huge mistake on my fiance's SSN on the I129F form and didn't noticed it until this last weekend when I decided to scan all the papers that I might need to prepare for the interview process but we already got the NOA2, APPROVED! I had been trying to read posts with the similar error that we had but I can't find one yet. We didn't received any RFE's as well. Now I'm a bit anxious and I'm not sure if I need to call NVC about this mistake or they just assumed that it was a typo error and just followed the SSN on his W2 attached along with our packet.

Damn - I was hoping you'd be from Cebu too so I can ask if you know if the Cebu NBI office can do the in-absentia issuance of the NBI clearance. I know the Manila office can, but not sure about the Cebu office. Meh =(

The Dallas lockbox received our petition last Feb 20, received our NOA1 (email) last Feb 24.

I think it'll be better to call the Philippine consulate just to be sure. They'll do the finger scanning and picture taking at the consulate here in Dubai and they'll forward it to the NBI office in Manila (not so sure if it's possible to have it sent and released in Cebu) Even if you're not from Manila, the NBI main office can process and release the clearance. With mine, I just asked someone to bring it here in Dubai just so I can save time and it's way cheaper.

  6. Hi! I'm from the Philippines but based in Dubai. My fiance and I filed the petition for K1 visa last February 6, 2017. I just want to ask if a I134 form (Affidavit of support) is still a requirement for us even if he doesn't have a co-sponsor, his annual income is more than the minimum requirement and we've included in our packet his Tax papers/W2s.
