  1. Hi All -

    This forum has been really helpful to me during this stressful process, so I wanted to pass along my experience so far:

    K1 Visa --> Mailed to Texas Service Center on 10/10 via Fedex

    NOA 1 --> received email notification on 10/14

    NOA 2 --> received email notification on 10.

    Dublin Embassy Processing --> Mid-December

    Dublin Embassy Interview --> Late February

    -- Tentatively approved due to missing police certificate; We did not realize this was needed since my Fiancé had no criminal record, but the officer was very helpful and agreed to approve upon receipt of the form.  We returned the form ~3 weeks later, and received approval within 2-3 days; Visa/Passport received 1 week later.

    March 31st --> my Fiancé arrived in San Francisco

    April 28th --> married in NYC!!

    May 8th --> Mailed NOA / I-765 / I-131 to Chicago Service Center via Fedex

    May 28th --> Received RFIE due to incorrect Affidavit of Support form; Sent back corrected form on 6/6, and received a receipt notice on 6/8.

    July 24th --> Completed online SR request for I-765 & I-131

    Aug 11th --> Visited local Congresswoman's office and asked for help with following up on the application status since we had not received a response to the 1st SR.  The office requested us to fill out a release form.

    Aug 13th --> Completed a 2nd SR request for I-765 & I-131

    Aug 15th --> Received a response from the first SR that stated the application was still within the processing time (due to return on RFIE) and would be reviewed within 90 days of RFIE receipt 6/8

    • "Recently, you contacted us regarding your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.  Your case is within our current processing time.  Our systems show that we received your response to our Request For Evidence (RFE) on your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, on June 8, 2017.  Your Form I-765 will be processed within 90 days of the receipt of the requested evidence."

    Aug 16th --> Congresswoman's office emailed the following back:

    • "Your pending I-131 and I-175 will be routed for expedited processing. Typically, your cases will be adjudicate within 5 days. Then, USCIS will mail you your card, which normally takes 5-10 days. If you have yet to receive your card within 15 days, please check in with me. Please also notify me once you have received your card."

    Aug 17th --> USCIS auto-generated email stating I-765 application case state change to "New Card is Being Produced"  **FINALLY!!!

    Best of luck to everyone!
