  1. Finally... I feel so much relief now because  I just received my congratulations paper on Saturday April 27, then my card on Monday April 29. No REF, no interview. My status on website changes into "card was mailed".

    My timeline:

    March 18, 2018 they received my i 751 application.

4 months later I got my 12 month extension letter. Fingerprint was not required.

In October I got my 18 month extension letter.

On March 2019, they transfered my case to Nebraska office.

I didnt apply for N400 yet and I applied in CSC.

Thank you so much for information in our group, and I hope everyone will have good news soon.

  2. Hey guys,

I m going to send the package this week. These are my evidences:

    - joint tax files 2016 and 2017

    - copies of pictures together in international trips and inside USA

    - copies of airline tickets

    - copies of checking account statements

    - copies of apartment fire insurance

    - copies of medical cards

So far I think my evidences are not strong enough, I don't have a lot of major ones like will, mortgage, life insurance, car insurances, utilities bill and apartment lease. Do you think it s gonna affect a lot on my case?

And also I m going to move again probably after the biometric finger print, do you think it affects my case a lot?

  3. Oh no, don't say sorry, I really appreciated with what you gave me. They are really helpful.

I had a talk earlier with my husband about car title and insurance; he said he hasn't finished paying the car yet so it doesn't really belong to him, therefore he can't add me into it.

It's okay if he can add me as non licensed driver insurance; but he warned me the insurance money monthly will go up ; that's something I am concerned about also. Our finance is not ready for that; so we will leave it that way. BUT is that true when the insurance goes up when he adds me in? I am still very new to the land though.

Yes, both saving account and checking account statements show our names and our same address. Yes, I also have an state-issued ID showing my same address with him. We don't have any wills yet. We were thinking about life insurance though.

I have a feeling "immigration" is the magic word from now whenever we want to get some paperwork done. :)

Same as you, I will sleep like a baby when this immigration is over. ^ ^ It takes so much nerves.

You are going to be March filer next year right? And I m going to be April filer? Or it depends on the month we file?

  4. Hi JJGussas,

thanks for your reply, seems our filing date is very near each other.

    1. As for finance situation: honestly, we don't have much papers here

-car title: he bought his car before he met me, so the car title and insurance is under his name and his mother's name. MI oreover, I don't have any driving license yet.

-lease: we are living in his mother's house (under her name), so we don't have any lease agreement

-utility bill: we pay this in cash monthly so no record of this

-health insurance: we are still working out on this and waiting from the government

-phone bill: we have our own plan because i need my special plan to call back to home country, his plan can't do it

-we don't have any mortgage and loans

*we do have our names on his checking account statement, and saving account statement

*we do have our idividual mail sending to each of us of same address from the governement

Do you think these joint accounts would be good enough for the process?

And yes, I would go back the bank and ask them to do authorized user for my husband.

2, 3:  I hope I would not have to move and things could work out here, but sometimes that's life. Your info is very helpful, I appreciated it a lot. : )

FInger crossed for your paperwork process and mine next year ^_^

  5. Hi guys,

I wish I could have found this website earlier, so that I didn’t have to go through AOS with lawyer. But after all, I feel thankful for all of you who gave me lots of information and insights about immigration, including the ROC process. My GC is going to be expired in April next year, and I know it’s still early, I would prefer to get to know it sooner than later. I have too much time in my hand right now. I hope you guys can help me with some questions here:
    1. At first, I want to add my husband to be co-owner of my credit card, but when I asked the bank, they said if we do that, something happened; one person has bad credit, the other also gets affected. So my husband refused to do it. He has 2 credit cards of his own, and has not paid off the debts yet, so he is afraid he will affect me on this. He did add me into his checking account. We have another joint saving account.

So do you think if we don’t have joint credit card, would it affect a lot on the document?

    2. My husband recently resigned from job, and our plan B is if in 2 months he can't find another new job, we are going to move out of California. I have a few connections in other state which might help me to find a job.

My question is: when I move, I will have to do these 3 things: filling in the AR-11, changing address online, and make an INFO pass appointment to make sure if it go through or not. Is it correct? Or I just need to do one of three things above?

Is it making Info pass appointment means you have to go to the local USCIS nearby to talk to them?

    3. In the I-751 form,
    Part 1:
-Alien Registration Number is the USCIS number on the 2 year Green Card right?
-USCIS ELIS Account Number , what is this? And I don’t think I have knowledge about this one.
-Mailing address: what does “In Care of Name” mean?
    Part 7:
-Item 2: I have requested services of and consented to _____________, who is/is not a ….: I am going to file the I-751 by myself, so this one I don’t have to fill in right?
And part 7 is for me (petitioner), part 8 is for my USC spouse right?
Sorry for the long question, I understand English, but not all of them, my husband does have some problems in reading English, that’s why I want to make it clear here.

Thanks so much for your time and understanding.
