YAY!!!! NVC finally received my I-130 packet from USCIS today :D

Not as great as a CC...or even a case # but it's a start.  They said i should have my Case # by next week. :dancing:

Out of curiosity, any suggestions on how to send the IV packet?  USPS certified 2-day Priority with return receipt?  Too much?

Congrats.... After they asign a case # the next step is the $120 or $325?

Or whats next? I am waiting for nvc to recieve my i130 packet.

I am a RapidVisa customer. They have helped a ton with filing my petition. This is what they told me when i mentioned my case was approved:

For now, while waiting for the instruction from the National Visa Center, what you need to do is to prepare your Affidavit of Support which will be the form I-864 and all the Supporting Documents.  The NVC will also send you an email for the DS-261, agent selection  and an invoice for the Affidavit of Support and the Immigration Processing Fee.

Print the I-864 form (affidavit of support) and sign the page 9, item 6.a where it says Sponsor’s Signature and 6.b date of signature.

*What to mail for Affidavit of support:

    1. The cover sheet provided through the Email of the NVC.
    2. Your I-864 Affidavit of Support  Make sure to print, sign and date it.
    3. Copy of your MOST RECENT TAX RETURN WHICH IS 2016. You can also include copies of your 2014 and 2015 TAX RETURN if you want.
    4. 5-6 of your MOST RECENT PAY STUBS
    5. COPY OF YOUR W2's for each year.
    6. Letter from your Employer (stating your position held, salary rate, if permanent or temporary)
    7. You can also include copies of your bank account statements (esp if you are self-employed)

*What to mail for the Immigrant Visa.  Just send copies of the following documents applicable to the beneficiary.

    1. Alien's Birth Certificate
    2. Court and Prison Records, if any
    3. Deportation Documentation, if any
    4. Marriage Certificate
    5. Divorce Decree of your wife, if any
    6. Military Records, if any
    7. Photocopy of Valid Passport Biographic Data Page of Alien Spouse
    8. Police Certificate for all applicants 16 years old or older
    9. Adoption Documentation if any

You can send in one envelope all of your documents for the Affidavit of support and Immigrant Visa application.  The address on where to send it will be included in the Instruction that the NVC will send you.

    Great...Checklist very helpful .

So I am seeing that many people who were transferred to Potomac only get their approval by mail.  Has anyone of the Potomac transfer group gotten electronic notification of their approval?  I'm getting a bit worried because it takes several months to get mail here (we currently live in Zambia).

Maybe I will have to call USCIS and see if we have been approved.

I got my i 130 approval letter first yesterday ...and my email today Morning

    PD sept-22

    Nebraska transfered to potomac 2/15

Did you request for a name update?  if not, it might either be an officer opening up your case files which could lead to approvals in a few weeks or it could indicate a potential RFE based on what I've seen in other forums.  Don't panic and wait for additional clarification from USCIS.  Good news is they're looking at your case.

No I didnt request no name update....

Hopefully i Will recieve good news soon.

    Getting nervious. Thank you!
