    • I submitted my application online on Tue Nov 10. The online process was far simpler than filling out on paper. However, I noticed several times that my attachments were NOT saved if I switched between sections. I hope people are careful to check that ALL of their attachments get included in the final snapshot before they hit Submit :)
    • I was able to see all my documents in my account in 24 hrs.
    • I also noticed that although I had my email and text notifications turned on, I did NOT get notified when USCIS updated records to indicate they had sent a receipt etc. I guess the notifications only work when there is a status update?

I'd love to hear from folks when they get their biometric appt notice and other correspondence, just to get a sense of wait periods and timelines. :)

Good luck to all Nov 2020 filers!

I had the same issue with saving documents. You need to save 5 files/documents (not more because that's the limit) then hit next to save and then logout and sign back in. You have to do every time you upload 5 files otherwise your files wont save. I know it's frustrating and they should really work on enhancing their system. However, I'd still say it's a lot better than submitting a hard version of the N-400.

Haha!  Thanks @PAK123, but my question was from more than 3 years ago!  Fiancee got here a couple of months after I posted it and we've been married for 3 years now!  And have a baby son!

I hope your answer may help someone else though.

Lolzzz....And that is why I posted it. There seems to be conflicting advice on this topic. I thought may be my advice could help someone since I went through the process.

My fiancee was originally scheduled to have her interview in Islamabad on September 5th. But we only had 9 days notice before the interview so she had to quickly do her medical exam.

The doctor told her that since she had had TB seven years ago that she had to do another TB test - and that test would take 2 months... (it will be back on November 4th).

The doctor told her that she would contact the embassy and let them know she wouldn't be able to make the 9/5 interview. I have also sent several emails to them about it and filled out the contact form on the Islamabad embassy website. But I haven't heard back from anybody.

The afternoon her interview was originally scheduled she got a call from someone at the embassy asking why she hadn't shown up at the interview! She told him why and he said okay and sounded like it was fine since she had a good reason.

But I'm worried because we haven't heard from anyone since. And I also wanted to know if it's possible to request a new date now since we know when the medical test results will be back. Could we try to schedule it now for the week after that - or whenever the next available time is? And how would we do that.

Thanks for any insights you can provide!

If they suspect that she has TB then they will have her go through sputum culture test. You should get the result in 48 days at Aziz Medical Center. They will immediately within a day or two carry her TB results to the Embassy and the Embassy will send you a new interview date with a day or two after receipt of the report. You do not have to reschedule the interview with the Embassy yourself. Usually the interview date via email is within the next 2 weeks because you got priority. Your visa will be valid for 3 months instead of 6. It is advisable that you accept the visa and fly to the U.S. in that time frame. Do not argue!!!

Hi I had my interview in the first week of December 2016. I got the white slip to send in more documents. I've sent that and my case has only been updated since. I hardly got like 3 updates since then.

My medical is expiring in about 20 days and I don't have my passport. I've tried emailing them several times but I get the same response saying that they're working on it.

Anyone else stuck in ap since 5 months? Are they going to ask me to go for a medical again?

Do you mind me asking you what document you missed?

How long did it take them to review your paperwork after they received the things on the check list???

I am at that stage, submitted paperwork on sept 18 and waiting on approval and an interview date

They were sent to review department for review beginning of week 8 and I received a CC in 3 days. Check CEAC for status.

Sent to Review dept: Oct 2

    CC: Oct 5

We got our "case complete" email about a week or so after our status changed on the ceac site. It isn't very useful, it just states that they have processed your case and it will be forwarded on to the relevant embassy etc.

Called NVC and Interview has been scheduled for Mid Nov:jest:......will receive the interview appointment in a week via email.

Just did my medical here. Yes bring along any vaccination records you have, if you do not have any records do not worry about that.

They will do a chest xray, some blood tests, and they will give you vaccinations as required.

Bring those reports, although they may not care to see them at all.

Took a week to get the report back.

Which vaccinations do I need for the CR 1?

Ahh we had tax problems too! Actually we still have them... hoping to bring the adjusted tax forms to the interview (even though we weren't asked to) just in case and so far they are still "processing" it's been 14 weeks ... :|

its all a learning curve eh? :D

also regarding CC - we never called we just kept checking ceac for AT NVC status and for aos line to disappear. At the 6 week mark that happened and then we called and they confirmed CC.

Hopefully it's still that fast or faster for you !!

Did you receive a 'CASE Complete' email? My case was completed last Thursday but still haven't received an email from NVC. I also kept on checking on CEAC and then saw the "AT NVC" status. I called the NVC to confirm. I spoke to the NVC yesterday and they told me that they don't send out CC emails anymore. But another rep told me that it takes a week to send them out.

    What's up everyone?

For those at the NVC stage, has anyone heard anything back?

We're at 4 weeks since the scan date, I'm hesitating on calling them... I'm making a bet on the timeline and aim at leaving for good right after Christmas, fingers crossed!

I received a case complete in 8 weeks from the second scan date. First round they reviewed my case within 6 weeks.

Case complete means the NVC is all done with the processing and is now waiting to get interview dates form the nvc

The NVC receives appointment dates once every month.

I received the interview date 2 weeks after case complete.

My status changed to CASE COMPLETE today. Between 10am-11am I checked my status on CEAC and it changed to "AT NVC." I called the NVC to confirm and they provided confirmation that  it's now complete....now waiting for the interview:):jest:

    Hey guys,

Quick question for those at the NVC stage, with your IV and AOS packages sent:

Once you have a scan date, does it show on your ceac.state.gov?

Our package(s) was/were sent about 10 days ago and we almost immediately (this past Tuesday) received an email stating that the AOS documents were missing... After doing some research on this forum, I realized that it wasn't uncommon, even though the said documents had been shipped.

Our lawyers... *sigh*...  keep giving us very generic responses and it's driving me a bit nuts. I try not to be whining and complaining but the lack of a straight, forward answer is getting incredibly frustrating.

They said that they have (re)submitted the documents electronically. Alright, but if the original ones were missing, isn't this going to be a problem since NVC needs originals with actual signatures on them? I fear a checklist coming in several weeks (I'm probably overthinking the whole thing) that would/will make crazy angry if it ever happens.

Just checked ceac.state.gov and it says we must submit documents. I do not know if we have a scan date and i'm torn at the idea of by-passing the lawyers and calling NVC.

    Asking for a friend...

I would recommend that you call the NVC. I hired an attorney but to him I'm just another client. I would've had an interview date by now but I received a checklist because my attorney forgot to submit the most basic info to the NVC (passport copy to be exact). It pissed me off to a level that I can't even describe. So it's better to call them and confirm your documentation.
