  2. I submitted my mother’s petition in September 30 and received a receipt that it has been received and it’s at Nebraska. Almost 3 months had passed and still no updates. Due to the current situation Is this normal or should I wait for an update or is it ok to check with them for an update?

Any input will be much appreciated.

    Thank you I’m advance!!!

    Hi,

Today morning I received an email from the US embassy in Abu Dhabi informing that administrative process is now complete and my case number was posted on their web site already. They have not updated the website yet though but I think once it gets updated I'll find mine among the numbers. It's so interesting that they sent this message in a reply thread of my old correspondences with them!

    I'm happy!

  5. Hi everyone! ME & My Husband are planning to bring my Mother & Siblings to united states for a short visit next year and My husband will provide them an invitation letter & affidavit of support (stating that we will be responsible for their short stay in the United States), Is there any other documents needed that could be a help for their tourist visa application? please advise. thanks....

Invitation letter is nice but bottomline is they will have to show they can pay their own way. Your affidavit of support doesn't count.

They have to prove that they have valid reasons for them HAVING to return to their country!

May be different in your country but that's the way it is in the Philippines.

My fams are from Philippines too, however have been living in UAE for the past 15 years. I guess UAE & Philippines has similar tourist visa requirements such as Bank Statements, Properties etc....

    anyways, Salamat....

Hi, I'm from Indonesia and I just heard similar case like yours from a friend of mine in Indonesia. Her parents want to visit her for a short one and the embassy reject their visa application because they bring "too much" of evidence from US side. Though they ever travelled to US, that doesn't help much! (usually embassy granted visa easily to people that ever travelled to US).

Bring evidence of attachment to home country would be good, that's showing them that your family does intend it to be a short visit, not moving here.

    Good luck!

thank's for the pointers. it has been a while since the last time i checked my posts... Yeah, my mom has properties etc. in our home country and stuff so am hoping that everything will go smoothly when she will apply for a visa.. am keeping my fingers crossed cuz i missed her so much!! once again.. thanks...
