Hi. Your children are dual citizen. You can either pay for ECC or get them a phil. passport. Recognition of phil. citizenship is NOT REQUIRED. I suggest to just get them a phil. passport (faster and cheaper since you have 3 kids, not unless you're willing to pay) when I brought my US daughter (born in US) back in 2011 to Phil. She's holding a US passport only when we moved back here in the states (2016) I only applied for her phil. passport. During our departure we only paid the travel tax P1620 & P810 (for my daughter), her Old and new US passport was asked upon checked in and no issue/s or any interrogation while we pass through the NAIA immigration.

Now to get your childrens Phil. passport, what you need is their; (we went to DFA Aseana)

*PSA birth cert. (this proves that your children are filipino citizen)

*bring also marriage cert. (if married), I was asked when we applied

    *PSA birth cert. (mother)

*2 valid ID (mother). I used my PRC license and Phil. passport

    * Valid ID for your children (I brought my daughters school transcript, ID, library card and most recent report card but they only asked for school ID).

*bring childrens US passport, Yes, I was asked if my daughter have a US passport but they didn't even look at it.

I paid P1200 for rush processing and exactly after 7 days it was ready for PIck-up.

Now your biggest challenge here is to get an earliest DFA appt. since your children are all under 7y/o. I read on their website that minors under 7y/o qualifies for courtesy lane, meaning you can just show up to their office without an appointment but call or go to your nearest DFA office to verify before bringing your 3 babies.

Now that I'm still seeing parents with Dual Citizen child/ren having issues leaving PI. I'll post my experience on here just to help out others.

    GOOD LUCK

Sorry for this late reply..  Thank u so much for this info.. And for helping mothers with same situation.

    Keep it up :)

That is good news.  I will tell you I ran into two couples that had serious issue with that, both were told by DFA to get the recognition completed... you got lucky and got an informed person to handle your application     Could you post a link to the webpage your took a pick of?  The pic is lacking parts so not every helpful.  Thanks

Glad all is going well for you. :)

    Aww sorry for that..

    Here is the link :)

Yes i sure do know that situation.. The first time we asked someone from dfa they said we need one..  The when we went to  B. immigration they said yes we need recognition..

While immigration people should be the one who knows about this matter.. So i searched on their website and see this info then we go ahead and apply for passports..

And if they tell me i need recognition at dfa then my plan is to show this info i got from immigration website to inform them who's the one who needs to get recognition ..

But luckily the lady knows about it. And was friendly.. (DFA Pampanga)

Thankful for the result.. Passports will be release march 29 :)

  4. Hello everyone.. Thanks for the replies..

I just apply for my kids Philippine passports yesterday.. Give the requirements plus kids us passports photocopy.. And no problem at all..

Release date after 10 working days..

They told me if the kid was born outside the philippines with filipino parent(s)  then the kid needs recognition..

But if the kid was born here with filipino parent(s) in Philippines kid will always be a filipino..

    Problem solved...

At that time, we were still waiting for her US passport so I answered no on that question. I just brought her birth certificate, my passport, marriage certificate and copies of all. I filled out the form there but you can also download it and fill it out before your appointment. Here's the list of requirements from their website:

I wonder if tbey will tell me to get recognition first from immigration because the kids has us passports already. :(

  6. I need help or more information about the requirements for my kids to get them Philippine passport..

Do they ask additional requirements for kids who was born here in Ph but holding US passport already?

Or it's like a normal process even if you check yes about the part asking if you are holding foreign passport. Because they were born here in PH..

Pls someone share their recent experienced about this..

    Thanks a lot.

We chose the PH passport route because the ECC is ridiculously expensive. I can only imagine how much they'll charge you for 3 kids. There's really no set amount on how much you'll pay. They have a magic formula they use to compute the fees.

    Hi..thanks for this message.

What are the requirements that you sent when you applied for ph passport of your kids..

I already schedule an appointment to apply for passport.

Do i need to bring their us passport..

On the form there is question if applicant holding foreign passport.. If i say yes ..what additional requirements they ask if the kids are us passport holder already.

That's true.. They always dont have exact amount answer at immigration when u ask them about something haha..

If your children have ph passport then you just pay the travel tax which is 810 pesos (my son 3yrs, i think the pay is  less  for those  children below 2yrs old)

Show both ph and us passport at the PH immigration then in us entry just show the us passport. Thats all.

Hello.. Do you know what is the requirements to get philippine passport for them(us passport holder kids)? Did your kids show their us passport?

Because when u apply for Ph passport there is question on the form asking if you hold foreign passport..

Is there additional requirements for them?

    Thank u

Hi my son have US passport only when we left the Philippines to join my husband here in US. I also applied for Exit Clearance for our son at BI and I can give you the breakdown of cost we paid at that time, we applied last Jan 2015 and at that time our son is 4 1/2 yrs old. You will get ECC but with that you will need to pay the fine for each of your kids. If you have time it might be best to apply for Phil Passport.

    Administrative Fine - 9000 pesos

Express Lane Fee - 500 pesos

    A-Cert/Certificate of Exemption/Legal Registration Fee - 720 pesos

    ACR I-Card Fee - 2253 pesos

Express Lane Fee - 500 pesos

Thanks a lot this is very helpful.. By the way how old was your kid when he got his us passport.. And how long he stayed here with us passport in Ph?

True..  I already scheduled an appointment but available slot is last day of May :(

    There are no fines.

ECC is about it.   I believe you have to acquire the certificates no more than 30 days before traveling and not sooner than 72 hours.

You did not get Philippine passports for your children?  You could avoid the ECC with the Philippine passport.

Do you know how much is the ECC?

One is expected to submit the DS-260 within one year of receiving the case number.

Once the DS-260 is filed, it remains valid for 3 months within which one should schedule the interview.

(I filed on 3rd jan and it said valid till 31st march)

It is my opinion that if USCIS has asked for a document, you are expected to submit within 60 days.

    Hope that helps.

Wow thank you.. I guess i could send my DS-260 on august or september then do interview November :)

you still have a lot to do after getting your MNL case number,

as per an immigration lawyer " The National Visa Center gives you one year to submit all required documents. If you are requested to send additional information or your first submission is incomplete the one year begins again upon your receipt of correspondence from the USCIS. "

you may submit the DS260, and just schedule the interview on a later date for example on september if you intend to fly on November

Hello! Thank you very much for this information :)..

    Interesting.

I was wondering why a US citizen would need any document from the Philippine gvt to exit the country.  I guess this stated requirement:

    Philippine-born foreign nationals who will depart from the Philippines for the first time;

is the reason since the foreign national never had an entry visa to match up with the exit?

But if the kids exit the country on the Phil visa, wouldn't they then need to pay the exit tax?

    Just curious.

I have a lot of questions too about these lol..  But let's wait maybe someone has answers.

Thank you for the info sagot.

But if we want to get a philippine passport too,  do we need to get recognition  certificate from immigration as one of requirements to get ph passport?

Do we need to show their us passport too?

I believe there is part where they ask if applicant has foreign passport on the form when u apply PH passport.

  15. I Need advice about my Us citizen kids via CRBA leaving Philippines for the first time.

    I got 3 kids ages 3, 2 and 10 months

They all acquired citizenship via CRBA.

Question is what are the requirements do we need before they fly out of philippines

..do we need to pay any fine?

I know they need to get exit clearance or ECC which cost around 800 pesos.

But i wonder if there is fine that we need to pay before they exit PH.

    Thanks

  17. Hello everyone!

I got my manila case number already.. Last march 9.. But we need more time to take care of our belongings here in Philippines before we fly to USA.

based on the email i received i have1 yr to apply for my visa.. But the question is is there a deadline to submit my DS-260?

If i am planning to schedule an interview on November is it ok to submit my DS-260 weeks before november.

Or i can submit it now or this month already and wait for november?

    Thank u :)

Awesome!  Praise God Eiramana, your waiting is not in vain.   You guys received your Approval notice but without the case number?  But you both received your first email less than 30 days. And palawan1 received the second email with case number less than 30 days so still a champion.   Rejoicing for you Eiramana.

    Happiness overload :)

Yes less than a month we already have case number that's great..

    21 days only :)

    Now for step 2..the medical&interview
