HELP IN BARRANQUILLA ... need a kind and benevolent host !!!!

hello all ... I write this out of desperation and in hopes a kind and benevolent soul(s) may come to our

aid.

we have been approved and have recieved our papers so my girls are legal to eneter the U.S. !!

But ... Junnell and Mari have returned to a hostile and potentialy harmfull BAQ. She is now staying in a chaotic

home of family that has 9 people living under one small roof and none are happy she is there.

however I am so very worried in regards to Maria's biological father. He is a potentialy violent person and has struck

my fiance several times in the past. My greatest fear is for my loves' safety !

at the time of this writting we are panicked that he is going to take Maria (the daughter) and never to be seen again.

he is a hypocrite and is only acting out of spite because he has already signed a notorized permission for Maria to

leave and has stated that " ... he doesn't care if she leaves" which we have saved on a phone message.

but our desperation is in the moment. I can't afford a hotel for the girls to hide out in as I am rapidly trying to

purchase departing tickets for the first avail flight which isn't until Tues.

are there any kind and benevolent souls that can help us in Barranquilla .. if only for a cpl of days ?

We have have been sweating beads of panic as to this matter. We all know the signifigance of this

interview and the importance of having EVERYTHING in order and locked up tight !

I don't think either of us could deal with a denial over something that could have avoided.

Even though it's been a year and some change since I've seen my girls (in person) the consequences

would be worse than I could imagine.

Once again the system has been no help and this community has given us SO much; power to the

people !

I had to reschedule my interview because I am still waiting for my Colombian police certificate. All you need to do is just write to the Embassy that you need to postpone your interview and they'll be more than happy to do that for you.

I have written to them earlier about the possibility of rescheduling and they told me that I should write to them the latest one week prior to my appointment. I did just that and they replied me the very same day telling me that my interview has been postponed and that I will have to inform them once my documents are complete so they could schedule an appointment for me as soon as possible.

So, go ahead and send them an email when you're sure that you need the extra time to prepare

hello all ...

Yet once again I humbly ask for your help. As we all know if we want answers, we come here and not

the governing agencies.

We have our K1 interview date in BGT for April 29. However, due to circumstances our only option is

to re-sched. Need more prep time .. and money. Everything happening at once and this process is

slowly draining me dry .. nickeled and dimed to death !

But ... it's all good. Just need to buy some more time (no pun intended).

Has anyone the info and/or experience of having to re-sched the interview ? If so, please advise.

Via phone ? .. e-mail ? .. how long must we wait again ? .. do we recieve another confirmation letter ?

I spoke to a rep. at the Dept. of State and she said that via email (BGT) is the best way.

so .. if any and all could please give this request the most urgent consideration we would be much

appreciative. As much details as possible.

thanks to all so much for everything .. the dawn is within sight .. I can almost taste it. But it can't come

soon enough for I am nearly out of light ...

the interview date is soon !! ... it's been a loooooong wait.

I have questions for anyone that has interviewed at Bogota under a K1

with the beneficiary having a child;

Does my fiances' child need to be present at the interview ?

Are the medical exams also neccesary for the child ?

Basically, are all the requirements duplicated for the child ?

if any one has gone through this I would GREATLY appreciate your

experience to help us prepare.

FYI: my soon to be step-daughter is 3 yrs old.

maybe this is some good news for those waiting.

My NOA1 was dated August 27th (CSC) .. and I just recieved NOA2 via email on Jan 14th.

.. so ... keep an eye out and a peaceful heart .. subscribe for email at USCIS if not already.

and I don't think we can put too much stock in the USCIS updates. It's gonna be as vague as

possible. But if WE communicate more useful info will pass around.

remember; "energy follows thought" .. in other words .. BELIEVE the universe is working

.. to anyone interested; recieved NOA2 Jan 14th via email notification. Action: APPROVED !!

A day before VJ calculated it. So, to any and all let's keep inputting that info. To sum it up; I filed july 28th

.. about 5 months from NOA1 until NOA2. So ... the real fun begins.

To be honest I was kinda concerned that I'd recieve an RFE because I was skint on evidence and

didn't translate our e-mails. However the crucial parts were there ie: passport stamp, hotel/air receipts,

foto's together ... gracias a dios !! ... advice: keep it clean, professional and to the point.

P.s. if anyone reading is/has applied for a K1 with a child (of the beneficiary not related to petitioner) pls

get in touch via pm .. got some questions regarding paperwork.

a shift in approvals; as in a policy to deny more petitions. Or are you saying few have recieved that coveted NOA 2 ?

just wondering if anyone has any news of the processing .. how bad is the delay ? .. is the center

overwhelmed ? .. USCIS says "6 months"; updated dec.14 ... a few wks ago it said they were

processing cases filed in May ... I am assuming that "6 months" is just a generic-average wait ?

according to VJ the case "could be ajudicated as soon as Jan 15" ... getting kinda close so wondering

if we should be getting our game faces on ...

my name is torre. i've only posted a few questions here and there, but have really been enlightened by the info on this forum. i appreciate your posts. my NOA1 has july 5 as a notice date. when i check the uscis website i see no new updates. i've noticed that most of you have recieved "touches", but i haven't seen anything of the sort. should i be concerned? are process times in a bit of a lul? anything you can give mie would be appreciated. thanks

Priority Mail flat rate with delivery confirmation. ... a tiny victory but in this game every second matters ...

so .. that was almost 20 mns before the evil fee increase .. given that no more post marks after 1:00 that day.

cutting it close ? .. hell, yea .. but only just got paid the day before. The working man lives hand ta' mouth.

Once again I can't say enough about this site and this thread in particular !!!!!! .. Gracias muchisisisismas to all

for sharing the info, experiences and support for one another.

We are in the initial stages (formaly) and I have printed out about half a ream of paper and with a a trusty yellow

highlighter began marking and referencing points in an attempt to assemble a working check list of all relevant

points necessary from NOA2 until the Visa is in our sweaty little hands (in our case K1).

... and I mean EVERYTHING. There will be no stone unturned, no "t" not crossed or "i" un-dotted; I am loading up

for rhino !! .. I live by modest means and have little breathing room for last minute "surprises" .. jejeje. All though

there will undoubtedly be some ... it's not OCD or #######-retentive .. just believe in having a well stocked arsenal for

anything and everything thrown at us.

So ... I am sorting out and organizing all the info posted to this topic and bringing it up to date for myself in

the form of a clean concise list with ALL relevant info. To give something back to this community I would like to post

this organized info back to this topic. So it can all be had in one time sensitive post.

While I have enjoyed and gained much insight from reading through every last word I just thought it might help to

condense it all.

I will be putting in the time for myself so I would love to give something back. Everyone has shared

fragments and glimpses of wonderful insight .. I'm seeking to compose this collage into one "big picture"
