Wow that's not bad at all. I was expecting it to be longer than this!! Did you also have the oath ceremony?

My appointment is at 8:30am but I am expecting to wait so I'm going to eat a big breakfast before going because I heard you are not allowed to bring food into the building.

    Is that true?

You go through an interview, they ask you questions & you have to answer. They also make you read a question out loud & write the answer down for the actual English test, but most of the test is the interview itself.

you'll be able to see your form at the interview & can make corrections.

i will try to correct my error

Do you know all the information now about your dates outside the US? You can easily get that from your passport stamps.

Just make sure you have your passport with those stamps and you correct all those in your N-400 when you go in for your interview.

acutally i know my travel date. I am worried other parts maybe somethings I wrote wrong or mabye not.if i can get a cope that would be better.

Information about your school dates shouldn't be a problem. You can have them corrected at the interview. Just tell the officer the right date and he/she will correct it in the system if it is wrong. Don't worry!

i am afraid because my english is not very good but i will try Thanks you so much.

My wife just went for her citizenship interview, trips out of the country were a big part of the interview, exactly how many days. How can you tell them that everything is the truth if you do not know. You will fail. And if you say everything is the truth, this may be a lie. you should do everything to get the exact days out of the country. Good luck

i dont worry this part. i just worry the date i went to the scool. i dont remember i wrote  May or June

Did you file online or via paper. If you filed online, then there is a snapshot (a pdf file generated from your application that has most if not all the information that you put in your N400). I think, you can confirm the information during the interview.

i mailed the application .. i didnt keep record

You can ask the interview officer to correct it at the interview if it is mistake with dates or other minor mistakes and doesn't change any aspects of your application significantly...

what about if i dont know i make a mistake or not.. 😩 i didnt keep a record

  7. HI everyone has same issue? i search some information i should keep a  n 400 record. i only keep one paper about time outside the us bez there are so many dates and months to remember.

since i already submitted the application. i am not sure other information i fill it correctly or made a mistake.for example i dont remember i wrote the date of school  on May or June. if they ask me i may say wrongly. perhaps it should be correct...my interview already schedule. what can i do then? sorry my English is not very good.thank a lot..

They dont care about the exact dates since they have their own print out. They want to see if you are hiding any long trips etc. even forgetting small trips doesnt trigger any redflags.

Travelling outside the US is only looked at seriously when it looks like you might have spent 6 months to a year outside.

    i see...Thanks you

During the interview, the IO will go through the form item by item with you. When you get to that section, you are responsible for pointing out the error.

You can also call USCIS to correct the error.

    ok. thanks you😀

If you can read, write, understand and speak English enough to carry on simple conversation then you should be okay----however,  you can always improve your skills through low-cost or free ESL classes in your community if you wish.

    ok thanks you so much

My wife just did her N400 interview.   Applied in April,  Biometrics in May and then interview today.   Interview was around 15-20 minutes.   First 6 questions she answered correctly.   Went over a few items (about 15) on the application.  APPROVED and out the door.  Didn't ask to see any paperwork she brought.  Nothing.  She was nervous and  he was professional,  it was simple and easy.  We were married in 2010 and green card in 2014.  60-90 days will be the  oath ceremony.    My wife did well and was fully prepared.  Simple.  Great day and Thank you USCIS.

    Thanks for sharing. 😀

There are tons of threads of people discussing their interview and how it went (mine is linked in my signature if you want to take a look), you can search the forums in the top right hand corner to find posts on N400 interviews.

Basic questions depend on whether you file under the 3 year rule or the 5 year rule.  If your case is pretty much straightforward, then it's mostly just the IO verifying info on your application, and the testing portion.

Hello. i already red your interview long time ago. i red other people interview too. but still nervous. because my english is not good but not very poor....i hope they just ask simply questions....
