  1. Hi, I have a question...I need some info please

what should I do if I had to change my address, my fiance is comming this weekend, do I have to send any form to notify a change of address?

    thanks

You don't have a timeline filled out for your K-1. So I don't know where you are at this moment with your K-1. Who is changing their address? You, the petitioner? If you are, you have your receipt number, you need to contact USCIS at the phone number listed on your I-797 (NOA1 = Notice of Action) and let them know of the address change.

hi, My fiance is comming this weekend, Im the petitioner, Im the one that moved, we needed a biger place, but Im not sure if it is me that I have to call, but I will call them anyway, thank you

  2. After you read the guides http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...amp;page=k1flow

you will understand more. Once the case is approved (count on 3 months minimum to be safe) it will be sent to the national visa center and then to your consulate. They will issue the next packet and next steps. A medical exam will be necessary before the interview. Her passport needs to have at least 6 months left on it before they will issue the visa. Good luck.

Hola, thank you very much for the information, I understand now

  3. Hello everybody, my fiance is in Peru, we just started to do this, I sent the first package on 9/12/2006and got the reciept back on 9/22, we want to know, how soon we'll be getting the aproval and what is in those packages 3 and 4, somebody told me that she has to do some extra test done in a laboratory is it true? and finaly, does she has to get her passport six months in advance before her interview?

we will apreciate your help, thanks,

    MM

  4. just_waiting,

    Excellent point.

OP, take the advice and produce a "permanent" address.

Do you have any relatives nearby?

This happened to us. I was basically a "squatter" when I started the K1 process, in the process of getting a job and an apartment. This was brought up at my fiance's interview, that they can't approve his visa without a permanent residence to send him to. At that time I had signed a lease for my apartment even though I wasn't living there yet. It was still under construction. The Embassy gave him a 221g and requested a copy of my lease which we gave them. They were satisfied with that.

Just be aware they do like to see you have solid permanent residence.

WELL I DON'T HAVE ANYBODY ELSE HERE WITH ME, AND MY FIANCE'S EX SISTER IN LAW THAT LIVES NEAR BY, SHE REFUSES TO HELP ME, SO, I HAVE TO DO IT MY SELF, BUT THANK GOD I HAVE YOU GUYS , BECAUSE YOU ARE THE ONLY ONES HELPING ME, AND I WILL THINK ABOUT GETTING A PERMANENT RESIDENCE, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP.

  5. Get a PO Box.

HI, THANK YOU FOR ANSWER ME, TELL ME, CAN I DO THAT?, I MEAN, GET A PO BOX FOR THE INMIGRATON CORRESPONDENCE? WHAT HAPPEND TO THE ADDRESS WHERE MY FIANCE IS GOING TO, FOR NOW THE ONLY ADDRESS I HAVE FOR HER IS MY FRIENDS UNTIL I MOVE TO MY NEW APARTMENT.

    THANKS

  6. Hello there, May be somebody can help me here,

this is the situation: I'm ready to send the I-129f application, everything is in the package, but I happend to live in a apartment condo where my contract is due at the end of the month, and I have to move out.

My friend ask me to move in with him, but i'm a little bit worry because he is also working with a K-1 visa petition and his girl is just waiting for her interview.

My question is: since Im going to live there with him, will I have problems if we both have the same address?, will that affect me in any way?, I don't really have another place to go for now. I did apply for another apartment and they aproved it, but is not going to be ready until the end of the year, what can I do? they ask in the I-129F form, where is my fiance gonna live when she gets there, should I use the same address?

I really apreciate your help thanks,

    MM

  7. Marleo, perdoname por contestar a tu pregunta en inglés, pero my español es horrible.

Having or not a job should be of no importance at the interview. If they ask her about it, she could tell you that she works from home. What really matters is whether you're able to support her when she goes to the U.S.

OK MEW. THANKYOU FOR YOUR HELP, I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING, I DON'T THINK THEY WILL CARE IF SHE WORKS OR NOT, BUT, DOES SHE NEEDS TO ADD THAT SHE WORKS ON THE BIOGRAPHIC INFORMATION ? OR IS NOT NECESSARY ?

    THANKS

    MARIO......

Yes, she does have to list all previous jobs within the last 5 years (if I'm not mistaken) and it's better not to leave time gaps there. If she works from home and is not exactly self-employed, I guess she could just say 'unemployed'.

THANK YOU WE'LL DO THAT........

Also, Marleo, you can post your questions to the specific forums. You'll get many more replies if you do because they get more hits.

    Good luck! :)

    OK GRACIAS, LO INTENTARE
