    Hi everybody,

I have some questions for the ones who already receive the visa, I need to buy my flight ticket by the end of July because which is very soon and it is going to be more expensive if I buy it after my interview (14 July) and even more expensive for the Peru independece day lol, so I am trying to save money buying it earlier.

    1. How many days after your interview you pick your visa up.

    2. Can I buy ONE WAY ticket or I should buy return since I am not a resident yet

    3. what other recomendations do you have ?

    4. THANKS A LOT !!!

I used USPS(United States Postal Service) and sent the documents to a Serpost near the Doctors office where she went for her medical exam. I checked the reviews of several different Serposts in Lima and they are all pretty bad. I sent mine to the one at Av Jose Larco 868 in Miraflores. I paid for 3-5 days express shipping and it stayed in Peru Customs for awhile. It took way longer than expected. I don't remember how many days it took to get there but it was over 10 business days. You can track the package with USPS until it arrives in Peru and then the tracking stops getting updated. All you can do is call the Serpost that you sent it to, and ask them if they have a package for you.

This packet was extremely stressful part for us because she needed to receive it while she was in Lima doing her medical exam, and obviously you Must have those supporting documents for the interview. It was very hard to reach them by phone, they only answered her call once out of many calls. But, after her medical exam, she went to the Serpost office, it was there, and they said they had just received it that morning. Whew!

I hope your experience is a little smoother! Tell your fiance to get that packet sent to you as soon as he can! And don't forget any documents or forget to sign anything! Good luck. 😳

Thank you Rippy, he sent it this morning with USPS Tracking® update, Service Type: Global Express Guaranteed. they told him , they guarantee the package would be here next monday or they would give him back his money.

    Hi everyone,

My fiance and I are planning on submitting our i-129f within the next couple of months - definitely before the beginning of September!! I am the beneficiary and I am from the UK...we are planning to get married in Philadelphia on July 28th 2018. We want to start planning and booking stuff for the wedding as soon as we receive NOA2 because we are going to be having a relatively big wedding, has anyone else starting planning and booking stuff for the wedding before they actually go to the interview and receive the visa in their passport?? I know it can be seen as risky but even if we wait until the 1st week of September 2017 before we submit the i-129f, that's still over 10 months between then and having the wedding in July 2018

Hey, even when I am about to have my interview i havent reserve the place where I am going to marry because I prefer to have my visa in hand, BUT.. what I did is have all the rest, like my dress, presents for the guests, I mean , things that I am sure i am going to use.

    Good luck !

You're welcome and I'm glad I can help.

I was talking with my fiancee about this and she said that the letter is "not important for the interview"

    Now, we know !

Even that I got it this morning I can tell It is "not that important" . Now start with my medical appointment. And my fiance need to send some documents, he already have them, but any advice about which one to use??? I have been told Serpost, which is a good option thought, any other? Thank you !

  6. I am in the same situation Mylita, I havent recieve the package 3 and I was about to program my interview , but what if I dont receive the package before my interview... I mean , for the interview we need to have the medical exam and for the medical exam we need the letter, so we can not go to the interview without the medical exam. I am really worry that we havent recieve it yet .

  7. Hi everybody ,

My fiance and I received the Notification saying they already sent it to the embassy in Lima, so we are waiting for the package 3 ... but I would like to start with the documents and I have some questions:

1)About criminal records > Antescedentes penales  are for national or international use we have those differents. (some say is national others that is international)

    2) Did you send the documents.. like affidavit physically to your fiance(e) or just email them?

    Thank you !
