  1. Goodluck for your interview. . .

I just mailed out today my husband's DS 230 Part 1 and 2 plus the civil documents that NVC requirements.

    Thanks,

    CHIE1423

what your husband got was a checklist of what forms they are missing, in this case its the ds230. i got the same thing, it was 3 pages, the second page has "checklist letter response" on the bottom and the 3rd page says that they are still waiting for the ds230.

what you downloaded from james' shortcuts is the letter that he will be receiving in a few days, which is a letter telling you to goto the state dept link, gather the documents needed and send them with the ds230. for montreal, i hope you are aware that you have to send more than just a copy of the passport.

  2. Hi there, I am in IR1 Category since I received yesterday the packet for the DS230 Part 1 and 2, from the letter they said we need to submit the form and checked also from the NVC Website to submit also the civil documents like birth cert, marriage cert, police clearance, etc. . . my question is do we need to submit all these documents together with the DS230 Form that we need to fill up??

Please help us. . . your response will really appreciated.

  4. Thanks, it helps a lot. By that we know that we have hope and upgrading thru applying for a citizenship is the best way to expedite our petition to our wife/husband. It's really sad that being an LPR we need to suffer to wait for a long time.

Thanks again, just keep in touch and will ask you a questions and query when the time comes, that I need help to process my paperworks for my husband!

  5. Hi Johny,

I am an LPR too. My petition to my husband filed in Nov 2001 and approved in 2005. Until now, nothing heard from USCIS, if your sister was 5 yrs and entitled to get a citizenship it's better to do that and upgrade the petition. That's my plan one of the member here, have the same case so i think it's better to do that, than waiting for nothing, especially now that the retrogression comes in F2A case.

    Take care,

    MC

  6. Hi in regards with your question, i think that I-130 pending that they were saying is for the LPR (Legal Permanent Resident) " " i just think huhhh! like me, with a priority date. Since your case is K1 or IR1 (Immediate Relative), they're saying before, that if you're immediate relative there's no visa availability to wait because it's always current. For more information please visit. . . click this link: http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin...letin_3009.html then maybe it helps to answer your questions.

  7. Yeah, Prayer and Support are the answer. . . being away from my husband since 1999 is really really hard. From being a LPR and go beyond that waiting period and USCIS procedure is really really hard one. Having 3 kids without my husband is really really hard one. So, be patience and have God Mercy on all of us. You can visit this website http://unitefamilies.org/ and you can see how many million families separate with their families and begging for the reunification.

    Thanks and pray hard,

    MC

  8. Hi Meauxna,

Thanks a lot, May God Bless You. . . having 3 kids and away from my husband was so hard for me. It's a lot of hardship/sacrifices. Being away from my husband was really really hard, my kids are all grown up now, and I wish may God Bless Us and guide us, my only wish is having my family reunited. I just went home two times one when we got married, and the second one was in 2004 when we celebrated our kids' birthday and having party, together with their Dad (my husband) and relatives.

    Thanks again,

    MC

  9. Thank you very much diaddie mermaid, i'm so blessed I found this website too. . . and visa journey website had a lot of different case and you could find help and information too from all the members like you.

Thanks again, take care! If I need to ask more answers re: my questions I will post again here or I'll email you right away.

You know that after I got my Petition Approval I didn't get anything from NVC that they told in the I-797 paper? Well, after that I called them and they told me to wait (just like that!).

    MC

  10. not yet. . . I plan to apply this coming September. I already request for the form and to be schedule next. So, I decided to do this instead of waiting with LPR case I don't think so, that anytime soon my husband will come fast since they have now the retrogression. Me and my kids away from my husband since 1999 when I came here. I filed my LPR Petition for my husband and got the approval in Aug 2005 after that I don't hear anything from USCIS. So, I think the better way is to file the US Citizenship instead of waiting for nothing.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

  11. Hi there, my name is MC just want to ask if I have my LPR petition for my husband and since the visa is not yet available in embassy abroad, is it possible I could file my US Citizen instead? since I've been over 5 years here. Then later on will upgrade my petition for my husband?? Is it better to do that instead of waiting for the visa availability that right now they have retrogression and went back to Sept 1999?

Please advice. . . thanks a lot for all the response. . .

    May God Bless you always!
