  1. I'd bet you'll be xfered to California before too long. But I don't think filing the I-129F will hurt anything if you don't mind the extra work.

Great News Everybody! I just logged into USCIS and we are being transferrred to CSC!!!!!

I'm so very happy!! Thanks for all the support! And you January filers: I'm sure your on deck so keep your chin up! All the best !

Now How long to the NOA2? Any bets? I'm thinking 4-6 weeks.

  2. Alright kids I'm fed up with this ridiculous waiting for an I-130. I filed in January this year and to keep things simple I didn't file the I129f. Yeah yeah stupid and lazy on my part. What's the verdict should I file a 129f next week or what? Vermont is killing me! Or should I try a transfer ro CAlifornia? I am so confused and tired of this. We all waited 2 weeks for the update on processing times and I'm sure we all screamed in frustration when nothing changed. All my sympathy to all of you. Jen

  3. I feel your pain and I just wanted to add one thing. You guys are aware that Vermont is NOT processing I-130's at this time. Yes that is right. Does anyone know when they are going to start back up?

I'm kicking myself for not applying for the I-129 at the same time.

first this talk is uncalled for

Would you like some cheese to go with your whine?

Grow up. I'm so sick of hearing that $hit.

all i will comment on that, if your tired of hearing it dont read it

Your state reps can not work miracles, they can often get answers we can not. Mine has been good for me anyway, my case was returned the first time, after a time she got with calif and got them to finally say it was actually now expired and i was free to refile. Now we are having a tax return issue and she has taken that over also. So she can help to help me with problems but not to hurry my case along. I dont belive you stated your requesst, just write to them, they will send u a legal form to allow them to represent you, give them all the details, and whatever it is you want them to do. It may take talking to a few not all will take interest but hoepfully u will find one that will stick with you. Also its been shown on many cases a email fr your rep right before the interview seems to help, those that did this got the visa in most cases, (of course not 100%) but compared to those that didnt it seems worth that little effort. Good luck

  4. I'm in this batch. My I-130 NOA1 from Vermont is dated 2/12/08.

I got a single 'touch' on 2/24/08. I have not had a single 'touch' since. Anybody else in my boat?

Hey this is Jennie Same BOAT!

No touches at all filed January

    NOA 1 feb 13th.

I totally feel you, I'm thru Vermont and I hoped it would be faster but hey, it is what it is. Another couple from Morocco already have their visa and they filed the same month and it only took 133 days start to finish! Amazing! Keep your chin up!

    Hi Jennie,

Wow, that is quick, was that a K3 visa or a K1???

Both my husband and myself will be happy when this is over and we are living under one roof.

Take care, and best of luck, stay in touch.

    Paris Heart

It was K=3 thru Vermont! It was wicked fast, I emailed them to find out how they did it but I think they are busy enjoying each other now that he is here.

  5. Hi All,

Hope this post finds you well...

Here is my question for those of you that have gone through POE at JFK: If you didn't know English very well at the time, how did you manage? Are there immigration officers around who are speaking other languages (like French and Arabic in our case)? Did they ask a lot of questions?

At this moment, my hubbie is practicing how to ask for work authorization... Should I be prepping him for anything else?

    Thanks!!

    hz

I am a flight attendant at JFK don't worry there are a ton of speakers around and Moroccans are notoriously friendly and help each other alot. So don't worry about the language one bit. If he comes in on Royal Air Maroc it is Terminal 1 and they are excellent there! Also Air France is thru there so lots of french speakers are on duty! Good Luck!

  7. Don't panic yet! When I got my NOA! it took atleast a week or more before I was able to check the status on line! Try again everyday but soon you should see it.

I got the NOA1 for the form I-130 for my husband and i got a code starting with EAC and everytime i try checking the status on the website it says there is a problem with the code i entered?? I've checked the code i'm entering to make sure it is correctly written numerous times but still the same problem --- and my husband is having the same thing happen when he tries it too.

Is this typical of the CASE STATUS check online....i just got the NOA1 within the past few days? :help:

  8. Hey Guys also another January filer! Noa recieved JAnuary 22nd or so, Nothing since. Vermont is our Service center and I was wondering what "touch " means on all your timelines? My husband is moroccan and still there so if any of you guys are Moroccan based please let me know! I think we need a support group!

Thanks for all the help! Jennie and Hassan
