  1. Hi, hopefully somebody can help me. My husband passed away a few months ago, I got the green card through him. My green card expires soon and I have to file i750. I've been told I have to provide proof of good marriage within those two years since I got a green card. I can provide all documents (plus we have a baby) except one which is leasing or mortgage. We had an apartment but it was under my husband's father name and we never used that address anywhere. So basically our mail and documents that we had were claimed to my husband's parents house but I'm not in touch with them anymore. Does anybody know what can I provide about the address where we used to live? Obviously, I can't tell them that the apartment we lived at wasn't under our names. Same time I can't ask his parents about the some kind of paper that we lived at their house. Please help me!!!

His parents' opinions do  not affect your immigration and the US government does not care what his parents want or think.

The only thing is, ROC is pricey,.that's all. Someone can chime in about the cost but otherwise you have nothing to worry about when it comes to immigration. Just file your papers and all will be fine.

That's good news. Then I'll go ahead and do what I gotta do=) Thank you!

I'm sorry to hear about your situation.

Your baby won't affect your need to file ROC immediately, and you won't need his parents. It's nice that they want you to stay :).

Unfortunately, I don't know what they want. After my husband died they invited me and my baby to live with them until we all heal but now they just kicked us out and took everything from us...That's why I'm asking because I'm scared to deal with those people especially about immigration.
