Not a DIY anymore.

hi good people,
I met my ex-wife in college. We dated for a few years, got married later. She is a US citizen.
Fast forward a few years, I got my 2 year conditional Green card.
We applied for the 10 year Green card.
In the mean time after this, we were going through a bad patch, found out a few things about my ex- wife, do not want to go into details.
It did not work out for us. We got a divorce.
I got the divorce decree in mail on January 2020.
Right after that, in March 2020, I got my 10 year Green card in mail.
Now, I am not sure if I should apply for Citizenship in future?
What do the experts/lawyers think.
When I apply for citizenship, they will look at my application and question about the 10 year green card.
I got it after I got the divorce decree, so technically I was supposed to report that I got divorced?
I did not because some of my friends suggested to wait.
1. I can either never apply for Citizenship again
OR
2. Keep extending my 10 year green card.
Green card expires in 2030.
regards
Mark

I am getting updates daily from USCIS now.
I just got this one today morning,
July 18, 2018
We mailed your card to you. The U.S. Postal Service will deliver it.
You do not need to do anything at this time
The post office will deliver your card to your current mailing address. If your mailing address changes, update your address with us.
If you do not receive your card by August 17, 2018, send us a case inquiry and select that you did not receive your card by mail.
I wonder how long it takes for them to deliver the card.

@gabreignsI filed my I-751 in November 2017, I haven't filed my N-400 yet. I'm still on the edge on whether to do so this november or wait for my I-751 to process and get approved.
Congrats Steve, your green card should be on it's way within a few days.
Thanks a lot! I still cannot believe it, the wait has been just so long.
How many days would it take after a notification like this?
Hoping to get the GC in the next two weeks.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one and thanks for updating the list! Sure wish we could get transferred to VSC though...
28 people in our January filers forum including me, have got no update after the generic message of 'Your case was received at our local office', not message of case transferred to XXX service center.
We have to wait 3-4 more months I am guessing.

Congratulations to everyone who are getting approvals and getting their green cards in mail. It certainly must be an amazing feeling
We still have lot of people like me who are still waiting to get approvals, there has been no change our statuses, besides the generic message we got sometime in March,
'Your case has been transferred to the local office', meaning inside the CSC offices'.
I wonder, how long we have to keep waiting for this approval, another 2-3 months. I am getting really tired of this long wait, its been, 1 year and 4 months since we applied.
The processing time says, 17.5 to 19 months.
Another 3.5 to 5 months left, that is between September and November 2018 approval.
Great!

Me too, I hope good news is coming soon.

Everybody who got transferred to TSC or NSC or NBC, are getting approved, our applications are still at CSC.
So 2-3 months more for us.

Envelope was delivered and Green Card in hand on 05/17/2018The card came in a bigger USPS envelope, not like the ones we received from USCIS. It did not show in the Informed Delivery Digest. I thought a signature was needed but nobody was home & I expected to find a "Missed you" note. Came home around 6:00PM, found the envelope in the mailbox. USPS online tracking was not updated yet, it still showed it would deliver it by 08:00PM. At 8:00PM it updated the status as "delivered at 2:36PM".
My case was transferred to Texas, Card was mailed from Lees Summit, MO, and it has a new design.
Celebrations began and lasted throughout the weekend .... :-)
Folks,
Congrats to those who already got their cards and a Sincere Good Luck to those who are still waiting !!

Yes I did, it was transferred to NBC. I got the transfer notice on 4th of April 2018, and it was approved on 10th of May, 2018
Good for you. This visa processing is unorganized and very random, every person has a different timeline, is not based on priority or who applied first at all.
I had applied on Jan 27th 2017 CSC, never got a transfer notice or anything like that, just the generic message, March 5th saying, your case has been transferred to local office, nothing in mail at all.
The wait continues, no clue what is happening with my application.
We do have quite a bit of people from Jan 2017 in our group, CSC filers with no transfer notices (in mail or online) who are just waiting....

You guys need to file the I865. Thats the one way for them to know the sponsor is living with you still.
When I moved, i filed AR11 online, then mailed my wife I865 ALONG with AR11 again, along with new lease and copy of both our DLs showing new addresses, these are important steps for those with pending I751.
If I had a 10 year green card Id only file AR11. But in ROC filing AR11 only could be seen as you moved out of the house without your spouse if you’re not providing them anything saying otherwise
I am expecting a RFE, I got divorced recently, both of us were not happy, it has been painful.
I am thinking they will give me an RFE since I had done only AR-11 and no I 865. I will have to go in for an interview in a few months.
Will get my documents ready soon.

Did you file form I865 for your suppose when you moved? If you onlu filed AR11 they might think you moved without your spouse.
Write a cover letter asserting you guys are still together, send copies with new florida driver L showing same address. And resend your strongest evidence again.
That should get you an approval.
I am also in the same category as @Waiting4mygreenn.
I submitted the change of address AR-11 form back in January. I moved to another state for work.
I did not get the transfer to service center notice though.
