Send in an explantion letter as far as the house as you are not the first in this corcumstance. Why was your SO not added to the account as far as utilities? It really blows, as for the last 2 years every time I buy or order something no matter hwat it was I did it in both names so as to satisy immigration.

Originally I sent two affidavits from my friends, copy of tax returns for 2007 and 2008, and letters from pension and 401K funds showing my spouse as my beneficiary. Thank you. I will add the driver's license to the list of things to send.

I received an RFE on 7/0/09 and have been asked to send the following by August 30.

1. Submit evidence that you and your spouse share a variety of joint assets and liabilities.

2. Submit the leases/mortgages for all of your residences since marraige.

3. Submit copies of W-2/1099 forms of you and your spouse for the tax years 2006, 2007, 2008.

4. Submit a sampling of photos taken of you, together with your spouse, throughout the course of your marriage.

For #1:

I can get the bank statements for our checking/savings account for 1 year. Prior to that we had separate accounts.

We don't have any other loans except for one credit card account which is in my name. My spouse has an additional card under the account.

We both work for the same employer and we got separate health insurance policies as it was cheaper.

I can send the auto insurance policy that lists her as insured.

I already sent life insurance policy statements that showed each other as beneficiaries.

For #2:

I have lived in a home that I bought with my father way before I got married. Hence I do not have my spouse on the mortgage. Neither is she on the home owners insurance. My parents live with me in the same house.

I don't have her on the utility bills either because the bills have always been in my name since the time I bought the home.

I have # 3 and 4 (all the pics are in digital format. fortunately some have dates on them. i plan to get the pics on paper with a description and send it in).

I am scrambling for ideas on what else to send. Any help will be appreciated. My wife is pregnant and is in her 7th month. Should I get a paternity test and send the report in to prove the marriage is genuine.

I filed my I-751 in March and had the biometrics done in May. I was looking over the I-751 that I had filled out and realized that I did not put my spouse's (through whom I came to the US) SSN, DOB and the A# on the form. Should I call USCIS and update the form or should I send in a new form. Any advise would be helpful. Freaking out here.

My wife will soon arrive on a K3 visa under her maiden name. When I file for AOS I want to change her last name to mine. Do I need to change her last name when she comes here or can I just file for AOS with the new name (my last name) even though the I-130 was filed in her maiden name.

I don't think we get an email from the NVC when our case gets there. After a couple weeks of recieving the NOA2, you would call the NVC and find out about your case number and that's how you update your timeline.

Hello Everybody, I have a couple of quick questions..... I have noticed on some of the timelines posted that you are able to see when the NVC has received the case.

1)Does this mean that I should receive an email when our case reaches the NVC?

2)How can we keep track of our case (I-129F Approval) now that it's been approved, and on it's way to the NVC and then the Embassy?

I got an email around noon too. I am approved by VSC too.

Does anybody know approximately how long it takes for the approved I-130 to go from the CIS to NVC?

Congratulations I know it will still be awhile, but it feels good to have some sort of progress!

I know how you feel. My wife and I field the same question every day. Everyone keeps asking when is she coming? Like I know! Remember, even after the NOA2 there is the NVC process and that takes a while too. We have no choice but to wait.

I don't know what to do but I guess I need somebody to cheer me up a little. My NOA1 is from August and since 09 Sept they didn't touch my case anymore. It is getting so frustrating. Especially because everybody in my family is asking when I'm leaving and how much longer it will take until I get the visa... I have people waiting for my apartment (and of course I'm sad to give this one up as it is so so so perfect). My US family is planing a "real" wedding for us with all family and friends and party and everything. But the longer it takes to get NOA2 the more I'm thinking that I can't make it on time. What should I do? Still wait and be patient? I'm not that good at that...

Did you call the CIS to see what they say? Maybe you should check with them about filing an I-824?

Our I-129 F was approved on Oct 3 and I-130 on Nov 14/16. The NOA2 included the standard message of how it will fwd the I-130 to the NVC for processing.

I called the NVC today.

The automated system as well as the operator could find no record of the petition. I asked if it was possible that USCIS sent the NOA, stating it would forward the petition to them, erroneously. She said " if the NOA says it'll be forwarded then it should be forwarded", although she didn't deny an error was possible. She couldn't address the new policy of retaining approved petitons at the USCIS as it is a USCIS policy and not theirs.Pretty much she said , keep calling and checking to see if we got it..........guess that's what I'll do

Ok so I think we're in a similar situation (Approved I-130 and in Canada).. do go ahead and read james' shortcuts!!!

I also managed to call the automated hotline to find out if they have transferred (not yet) but I'll check in another week... once they have assigned a case number to me, I'll get the ball rolling by sending out that emai lfor the choice of agent, and so on and so forth.... We can figure this out together!

Oh FYI, in a previous post I said i was gonna get the police certificate but i can't get it yet because I'll need some sort of request letter from USCIS. so i can't just walk to the police office and get it....

In Wilhelmina's case, she was told to file the I-824 to transfer her case to the NVC and onto the consulate. Not unlike many will now have to do if they have a parallel I-129F. There is anecdotal evidence trickling in that regardless of what one answers in Q22 (The only place on the form where one can hope to satisfy USCIS directive to answer clearly as to whether you wish to apply for a visa at a consulate abroad), if they have an approved I-129F it is appears to be being assumed they will be adjusting status in the US.

Yes her lawyer sucked in not having the I-485 filed along with the I-130 when she was in the US. As you say, water under the bridge now.

Based on the answer above, my question is, do I have to file I-824 to move the petition to NVC? I read the link above and I answered Q. 22 on the I-130, regarding the consulate my spouse will apply for visa in. Also my K3 has not been approved yet. Does an unapproved K3 change the equation or the I-824 has to be done regardless?

For future reference the I-824 is Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, which we are going to be hearing a lot more of around here with the new process now in place for the I-130 once approved.

Does that mean my approved I-130 will not be sent to the NVC unless I file an I-824? (I don't have an NOA2 for K3).

I just got my I-130 approval by email now (3pm EST). Usually I get mails after midnight.

I have been waiting so long for my wife's visa to come that I sometimes find myself frantically refreshing my email to see if there are any updates sent out and it is getting out of hand. I am trying to find out when does USCIS send out emails for approvals to evaluate when is the perfect time to check.

So what time of the day did the USCIS approval email come for you?

Let's not keep our hopes up. VSC has been dissapointing so far.

Touches but no approval. Called the NCSC and they said wait 60 days after the transfer to hear something. Had an infopass appointment and they said to wait also. Absolutely pissed off. I see people who filed much later than me getting approved while people who filed before me are stuck also.

I didn't really expect anyone to offend me and the woman like that. i don't know may be there is something seriously wrong with the information that i have provided you all with. she is not manic-depressive. she is seriously a jolly, happy and entertaining girl and i talk to her every single night and i can prove that also. yes she is living in a govt subsidized (not subsudized) house but she is willing to give it up and find work if i allow her to move to NYC with me and yes she aint gonna support me in any possible way since she needs an income but why she failed to work is something i think i have already mentioned before and the US government doesn't give social security benifits with his eyes closed. lots of real-life proofs and documents need to be shown in order to get one. my aunt is a naturalized ciitzen for 10 years and she filed for SSB long time ago and recently for unknown reasons her medicaid was cancelled.

and yes my aunt, her sons and one of the elder friends of mine do have enough property, apartments in long island, NY and businesses to support me and my would-be wife if necessary

This has to be a joke. If you are joking with us shame on you.

If you are serious, then please go back to Bangledesh and seriously think about what you are doing to YOUR life. What your goals? Just what you are getting yourself into marrying this woman? With your own words, its as if you are planning a marriage supported possibly by your friends and relatives. A marriage to a woman with mental issues, 3 kids, TWO ex husbands, living on very limited means, relying upon the Govt for money, and who has no motivation to work (of course, unless you marry her and move her to NYC). If social security and govt housing have been good enough for her up until this point, trust me, you AINT gonna change that about her on a permanent basis. The odds are against her keeping gainful employment for long.

How does this all sound to you? Pleasant? Don't YOU want more out of life? What is your goal, to stay in US by marrying what your own words describe as a complete marital "red flag". Or would you rather do things the right way. Follow the rules, go on back to your country and consider your next LEGAL and SANE steps for your future and life. The answer is right in front of you, Man. I think you would be happier in a marriage to a woman you have dated longer who has goals, ambition, drive and a proven track record of performance and acheivements...don't you think?

Has anybody from VSC, approved lately? I can't believe CSC is so fast and people at VSC are stuck.

Any late updates on your cases?

After it was transferred to VSC, my case has been touched twice. I have seen people getting approvals from CSC after their case was transferred there.
