  1. Hey everyone, yes we got through. We flew in yesterday and my husband had to go to immigration by himself and that took only 20 minutes because there was only 1 person in front him. The gave him a paper informing him to get a ssn but also that we have to pay another $220 immigrant visa processing fee or they will not issue his green card until it is paid. They say on the paper to pay it beforw coming but no one told us that.

  2. Tried calling today and it rang and went straight to a voicemail but I didn't leave one. I just hope that they hurry up an issue my husband the Visa because the medical people told him that we should hear from them within a week and I mean today makes it really just one day past a week but I'm anxious because I want to buy a plane ticket to go down and for him to come up. I'm going to wait and see what it looks like over the weekend then if not I'll call on Monday Crossing all my fingers and toes

  3. I emailed yesterday  to inquire if they received his medical becauz hospital said it was delivered 1/31. Got a response saying it is in administrative  processing. So i emailed saying i am aware it has been in ap since his interview however that response was not helpful. I want to know if you guys had received it and if you haven't then I can call and ask why there's a delay so hopefully they will check and send me you an email with a response

  4. No hospitak staff said to wait 10 days so by next friday. They also said my husband should  wait until next friday to send in his passport that he shouldnt send it before they send his medical.... i disagree  with that last bit though. I told him to send it wednesday so it can get there same day as the medical

  5. My husband went today for his interview and he did not have his medical. He was told before he could be granted they would need his medical and that he was to make sure he was registered with DH:. He was then given a paper saying legal rights and information for immigrants of domestic violence  in the US  and facts about immigrating on marriage based visa... I was just wondering since you were approved were you give this and if it is a good sign. Thanks in advance.

  6. I am in the waiting game essentially. I am U.S. citizen, filed paperwork for my Jamaican husband. He was not able to get his medical before his interview. I signed up for him to have his passport delivered. He had his interview today and the gentleman said he was approved pending his medical exam. I was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes Andrews hospital to send it over to Embassy and the waiting time after it is received? just want to know so I can plan ahead with ticket prices and such. He game my husband a piece of paper sayiing visa temporarily denied because passport and medical. then he game him a sheet that said rights for immigrating specifically about domestic violence and the different categories of filing.
