    Don't beat yourself up over it. The only thing you can do is file with the ombudsman here: https://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance and also with your Congress and Senate representatives. 

    This are the only things you can do to attempt to speed up the process and and in many cases it does.

     

    Sadly, it doesn't seem to have made the slightest bit of difference in my case as I have heard nothing (and I am at near 25 months now)

    I have tried the Ombudsman, and when I checked in 2 weeks ago, they told me they are still working on other cases and will get to ours soon :(

    I have yet to try the senator route, although I do have the letter/privacy release form to mail in.. I was going to wait until end of May to send those in!

     

    Are you scheduled for an interview? Or what is the latest update on your case? I'm sorry you are waiting so long..

    We went first week of May, this month, and they confirmed nothing was mailed out. I plan on going again every 2 months, so next time would be July.. Hopefully we will get something by then! I do fear I will miss notices, since we did change addresses last year.. but the change was successfully done online (got receipt confirmation and also confirmed at the infopass appopintments).

I think it was a 30 day wait when I was doing AOS and got them involved.  A few of us got them involved and each one of us if memory recalls ended up having our case suddenly reviewed.  I hope you hear something shortly! 

    Thank you for the encouragement! I believe tomorrow will be exactly 30 days since we got the Obudsmand got involved. I think their official timeline is 45 days.. so hopefully we will hear something soon!

    online address change with pending i751

    Thank you. Hopefully I did too.. and even if I didn't, hopefully it was changed successfully! I confirmed multiple times at the infopass that the address change was made.. but then for some reason, our old address is still "on file" as well. I just hope the uscis does not send anything to the wrong address.

    You should also file for case assistance with the office of the Ombudsman.They work wonders!

    Thank you. Yes. This is why I plan on going to an infopass every 2 months, to make sure I don't miss anything!

    Also, I did file an Obudsman like a month ago.. but no news yet.. :(

    No. He did not say why, but he said he would not worry too much.. The reason may vary... I am going to contact my congressman if we don't hear anything by end of May.. Personally, I think infopass is more exact than phone calls.

    My husband and I went in for another infopass this morning, and the officer said our file is still on an officer's desk for review.. for 3 months now! Also, he confirmed our address change, but suggested changing the other receipt number (he wrote it down for us) too. I realized that is the receipt number I entered when I changed the address online (the number on the notice form).. I got super confused.. but the officer did say any notices will go to our updated address.. why would he say to change the other receipt number? I know we have two receipt numbers, one to track our case status and one from the actual notice, and the online system actually only allows us to change the one for the notice one..

    Today we went for the infopass appointment to check on my husband's ROC status. The officer said the case was transferred to an officer on Feb 17, so a decisions will be made soon, hopefully. We also got the husband's passport stamped for 6 months. Also confirmed our new address was updated on the file.

     

    Hopefully we will receive the approval in the mail soon, without an RFE or interview!
