Having been through the process twice now - once (ages ago) as the beneficiary, and now as the petitioner, I agree with the above. As long as you can follow the instructions and collect all the required documents, you shouldn't need a lawyer. There is a wealth of information online, and of course visajourney.com and its members are a great resource!
