For my interview in London I had a print out from my local doctor in the UK showing what vaccinations I'd had (they looked them up in my medical records, and took a photocopy for me).

Not sure if it would work differently in your country.

    Thank you limey.

I had my childhood immunization record back home, however most of my most recent vaccination is from overseas. I referred to the USCIS and CDC websites for vaccine requirements for immigrants and I only have about 2-3 lacking. Here in Bahrain the government's health department provides a certification of vaccination which is a booklet where all your vaccines are recorded. I am just not sure if this booklet alone is sufficient as proof that i have indeed completed this aspect of the immigration requirement.

Hello JnD7685. It is actually a case to case basis and I cannot answer for those who had their visas processed in the Philippines. In our case, we sent the packet on the 23rd of September and we got an e-mail from the USCIS confirming they received the packet on the 28th of September. That's the NOA1. Along with that e-mail is the receipt number that we used to check the status of our case in the USCIS website. Apart from the e-mailed NOA1, we also got the written NOA1 on the 5th of October. We checked religiously everyday and on the 21st of October, our case has been approved. That's the NOA2. My fiance also got the written NOA2 on the 28th of October. We waited for 10working days and started calling NVC for our Case # but we only got it in Nov 17. Once we got the case #, I kept on checking the status of the case at the CEAC status tracker website, it was At NVC until Nov 19 when it changed to In Transit and finally Ready on the 26th of November. But we were not able to do anything until we received the Packet 3 which we got on the 22nd of December thru email. I then filled out the DS-160 form, scheduled the interview and medical. Medical was last January 7th ans interview on the 25th. So it has been almost 4months from the date of filing until the interview date. Some are still waiting for the NOA2 when they filed a month and a half before us. It really depends, if there is any document lacking on the packet you sent, your case will be under RFE which might delay the case for a month or so depending on how quick you are able to provide what is lacking. It is really a tedious process and requires every bit of patience you and your fiance have. :)

Thank you for your reply. It gave me an insight on the length and process involved. Goodluck on your application ?

  3. Hello everyone. New to this site, and still trying to figure out abbreviations and form numbers regarding visa application.

US citizen Fiance and I have not filed the form I-129F but as early as now Im gathering needed documents for visa applications.

Im curious what is included in the medical part of this application. Also what is an accepted form of documentation for vaccination? I have most of my vaccinations done at my current workplace wherein we are provided a small vaccination booklet. Will this be sufficient for me to take on the day of my medical to show that I have completed my vaccines? Im currently working in Bahrain and plan to process my visa in the Philippines.

    Thanks

  4. hello everyone.

Im in a similar situation and opted to just post on this thread rather than start a new one.

I plan to leave my current job in Bahrain by April. My US citizen bf just proposed and plan to start filing for the K1 since we both want to do it the right way.

We dont know the intricacies of the process yet, so id like to ask how long it took from initial filing of I-129F to receipt of notice. If we file now (January) and since I am currently in Bahrain and will only be in the Philippines in April, we would like to make sure that by the time I am required to do my medicals and interview, that I will be available to do so back home.

I also would like to ask if its possible to process my visa and go for an interview in the US? I have a tourist visa and another option is for me to go back to New York and spend time with him while we process the K1 visa

    Thanks everyone
