Humans make mistakes and I suppose the workers at the intake facilities are more confused right now because of the fee changes. Someone just messed up in your case. You sent it correctly. They rejected it mistakenly.

Thank you so much! Hope they correct this mistake as soon as possible. By the way, they rejected my I-131 since I showed insufficient proof (I put "family obligations" as reason for travel). Isn't that enough if you apply for AOS?

They told me that they already sent me a letter about it!?! But I never received a letter or my submission from them. So I'm gonna call them on Tuesday then. Thank you so much!

Yes it should be free because I read the instructions million times. When you file these forms together, you get EAD and AP for free.

This chart lists USCIS' fees effective December 23, 2016. Applications and petitions postmarked or filed on or after December 23, 2016, must include these new fees or USCIS will reject your submission. 

What should I do? I didn't even get that rejection notification, USPS doesn't have that letter. USCIS officer insistently said that they sent a letter. I'm really upset.

Sorry! I applied for AOS. So, I filed I-130, I-765, I-485, I-131.

Hi everyone! Uscis office representative called me today and said that I got rejected since we paid insufficient fee!? We sent our case on December 14th and they received it on December 17th. We paid 1070$ and 420$. Plus they said that they sent us a letter about the rejection on December 29th but we never got that letter (as you can imagine I check our mailbox twice everyday) We went to usps main office today and they couldn't find our letter either. Did we pay the right amount? Because I know that they changed the fees on December 23th. I don't know what to do. I'm really upset and I don't even know how much I should pay since we never got that letter. Can anyone help?

Nothing bad:) Just our pictures with our family, friends and wedding day. They said that the album didn't fit in the folder (we sent them an picture album, it was thick little bit.) I was wondering if the processing time is that long??

Hi everyone!

I sent my AOS package on December 14th and they received it on December 17th. Last week, I guess they checked our package and sent our pictures (proof of bona fida marriage) back with a letter (they said that the picture album is not appropriate for the folder). I filled the form G-1145 to receive notification but I've been still waiting for NOA (today is the 22nd day?) and they haven't cashed the money order yet. Is it normal?? Because sitting at home all day is so annoying and stressful?
