From what has been reported so far, GC holders of the 7 affected countries will need to obtain a waiver. This should grant them re-entry with a GC. Best bet is to check the USCIS website in addition to contacting legal assistance. Best of luck!

Got my extension stamp about a month in advance of the 2 year gc expiry date. I don't see any issue with asking for a stamp 2 months out, just be sure to have your case details ready should the officer ask for an explanation. I simply stated that my gc is expiring and I will be travelling yet the officer did not ask for my itinerary even though I had it printed out.

I flew back to the US (Newark airport) from Mexico City on Dec9 using my extension stamp. The immigration officer stated that secondary inspection is required to verify the stamp, and I followed another officer into the appropriate area. Within the secondary inspection room I spent about 5 min waiting for the officer to call me, and we spoke for about 30 seconds and I was on my way.

Hi all,
Long time lurker here. This site has been full of great info for myself and wife, thus I would like to contribute with my status.
Like many of you we have been checking regularly for our ROC status on the site, along with making a few calls to the USCIS support line. I checked today and am happy to say that my card is being mailed!
Here are a few key dates:
Married August 2, 2013
2yr GC received on Dec 9, 2013
ROC filed and received on Nov 13, 2015
New card approved Jan 1, 2017
Card mailed Jan 5, 2017
For our ROC we submitted:
Tax transcripts for the eligible tax years 2013-2015
Joint bank accounts (3) with statements from 2013-2015
Joint credit cards (2)
Lease agreements for our former and current place of residence
Health insurance policies from 2 separate providers
Car loan agreement
Car insurance agreement
About 10 photos from the past 2 years
I hope this information is of use, and good luck to those who are still waiting for a response!

I was in the same boat..well...plane to be exact . I travelled to Mexico with my extension stamp, expired GC and expired letter and it was problem free upon returning. I think you will be just fine to travel with the extension stamp. You may get pulled into secondary (I did) but this should not take very long assuming there are no issues with your case.
