  1. So we sent the packet to NSC on May 21, 2007 and it was returned to us on July 25, 2007. They said to mail it to CSC, which we did on July 26, 2007. On August 8, 2007, the whole packet was returned because it was not able to be processed, missing a page of the form =/ (also no receipt number was given or anything). So we're mailing it tomorrow with the completed (for sure) packet but the money order we sent was not returned with the packet. So because of that do we pay the old fee or new fee? And is it possible to get refunded back the money order they already took?

    Curious...

  2. Hi,

I'm not actually filing the N-400 but I'm helping my friend through the citizenship process. We sent his on July 21st (Saturday) and per the USPS tracking online, it reached Lincoln on July 23rd (Monday). He sent in a money order, so I have no idea if it cleared or not. But I'll keep everyone updated. Oh yea, still waiting for the NOA1...

    Phewww... :)

Just to give the update to those who just filed to NSC. I received my "Return receipt Request or Green Card" back in the mail yesterday. I am glad I purchased that service. It really help because it has the name of the USCI officer who received the package printed on the card and also date that they received the application in hand. Anyways, that is done. I also just check my bank account and saw that the check has been cleared..so so far so good.

    Will keep you update.

Anyone who is filing in NSC- please join me on this topic so we can compare our timings.

  3. Hi, I don't if this is the right forum or not but I just was wondering.. I have a friend that has been here since November of 2005 and has been working on getting a green card. I was told that since he's here on a I-94 that he can't get any medical/dental/vision insurance? He would be able to get insurance after getting his green card. Is that true, if not, does anyone have any suggestions on what insurance will take him? I was going to try United Healthcare because that's my insurance plan?

Thanks for any comments and help! :)

  4. I'm done filling out all the forms and getting all the documents, now I need to assemble my packet.

I'm planning on going to Kinko's today and making all the copies of the forms and documents.

I just have a few questions about the assembly process....

When I send in my I-129F packet, do I send in the photocopied version or do I send in the originals?

When I'm making my tabs, do I need to make seperate tabs for mine and my fiance's G-325A or do I just make one?

Lastly, I heard that for all the documents like my birth certificate, fc-029, letters of intent, and attachment (basically all forms that aren't from INS) I should put a label on the bottom with I-129F original submission. I just want to know if I should or shouldn't. I've heard some yes's and some no's.

Thanks for any anwsers and suggestions that are given. :)

  5. Thanks for telling me.. I don't want them to think the wrong thing and think I'm already married.

So my only other question is wether or not to make a seperate tab for the G-325A attachments or to just put it together with the G-325A forms. I don't want the person reviewing my packet to get mixed up because there is one attachment for me and one for my fiance.

    Thanks! :)

  6. Just in the middle of filling out the forms and documents for the I-129F packet....

[1.] On the G-325A, I'm going to have to provide attachments for mine and my fiance's.

    A. For my fiance's, does he have to sign and date the attachment or do I do it?

    B. For both attachments, should we provide four copies for each page or just one?

    C. Lastly, should I put the attachments with the G-325A or make a seperate tab for the G-325A attachments?

[2.] After the engagement ceremony for my fiance and I, we got a certificate of engagement. In was in Laotian and I have translated the certificate into English. Both would go under meeting within the last two years, right?

Also, where should I put the money order? Paperclipped to the front of the cover letter? And the passport style picture, paperclipped to the front of the G-325A form for my fiance and I?

Sorry there are alot of questions, I just don't want to send it in wrong.

    -Amy :)

  7. Yodrak,

Just wanted to say thanks! I found a couple of people that have been on recently and K1s. :)

    Amy,

One click finds 7 of them, although most are not active (and they may not all be K1s - I didn't look further).

In your info box to the left of your posts, under your name, in the 'country' line, click on the word 'Laos' - it's a hyperlink.

HI! I'm new on here and I've just begun the K-1 visa process. I've got all the forms and have started to fill them out. There's no one on the visajourney that is going through the K-1 visa through Laos. And I'm hoping the Laos process is similar to the Thailand process. So hopefully you guys can help me out. :)
