I know we've talked before, but my case was also approved for expedited processing. In my case, though, I had to wait to complete the NVC process until my case was forwarded to the embassy.
Here is what you need to do: call the NVC and ask if you are going to be scheduling your own interview, or if the embassy will provide one to you. Even if NVC has nothing to do with your case anymore, they should be able to tell you how you will receive your interview date. If you get a bad representative who can't explain, then just try to call back and ask again. If they say the embassy will provide a date, then just wait.
For my consulate I had to schedule my own interview, but it looks like your country doesn't have an online portal. So I think that the embassy will provide you with a date. Do you have the phone number for your embassy? Here is some info I found for you: To follow up on the process of an Immigrant Visa or Non-Immigrant Visa case, send an email to support-dominicanrepublic@ustraveldocs.com or call (829) 956-5144 (this is a local number, do not dial 1) in Santo Domingo or (703) 988-3410 in the United States.
You have been such help, I appreciate the time you took to explain all this to me. I found an online portal for DR to schedule fingerprints and interview. I called the embassy they said I should wait for the instructions. So they said the embassy will notify me, however I tried scheduling it myself and it actually allowed me to do so. I'm gonna give it a week for documents to reach to than schedule an interview. Or call the embassy

My husbands case was approved for expedited processing 02/07.... I checked the nvc website today and my case status states "in transit to the consulate/embassy" does this mean I should be getting an interview date soon? My embassy is Santo Domingo. Anyone in here has been through the expediting process. It was approved and the email states this case was approved by your consulate general for expedite processing and the file will be immediately forwarded from the NVC to the embassy.

Continuously check the CEAC site https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== Once your status arrives at the consulate and changes to "Ready," call them and ask them about setting up an interview date
I don't think you have an online portal for your country (at least I couldn't find one), but maybe you can ask people in the DR forum what is the best way to contact the consulate.
Good luck!!
checked again and it said in transit to the consulate
so i will be calling embassy next week to find out appt status......... im so excited!

Approved by NVC or by the consulate? What does your letter or e-mail say?
Generally what happens is you need to proceed through NVC like normal. Then after your case is completed at NVC, your papers will be sent to the consulate. You will then schedule your own interview through the ais.usinfo website. Again, though, it depends what your e-mail/letter says about the expedite.
The email states the case has been approved for expedite and that my file will be sent to the Embassy immediately. It also states it can take up to two weeks for the file to reach the embassy..... so What should I do?

I'm still not convinced "review department" is anything different from where the files have been for awhile. The guy I spoke to was more cagey about whether being "in the review department" meant someone is actively looking at it. I can't imagine our paperwork would take more than a couple of hours of 'active reviewing' since it is a 1 page birth certificate for a checklist and the rest of our file is complete. I think "in the review department" can likely still mean "on a pile somewhere waiting to be picked up".
I've been at the review department for 12 weeks now since my scan date this is a little crazy.

Today is our 10th week waiting.
Scan date November 14th
Supervisor Review December 23rd
Review department January 12th
I constantly feel like I'm going to cry and be physically ill. I have come to HATE the weekends because no updates are available and no one is looking at our case. Praying as hard as possible and trying to stay positive, but it's becoming such a struggle. I am a very upbeat and bubbly person by nature so I am sorry to be posting so negatively
Good luck to everyone again this week...
any luck yet?..... our dates are similar....im waiting they keep telling me its in the review department...nothing yet

I sent all documents, fees, and completed ds260, NVC received my documents 7 weeks now, I called every week and they told me it takes up to 6 weeks, when I called on the 6 week time frame I was given I was told, that my file still hasn't been reviewed and they will send it to Supervisor review. What does this mean they are so rude they do not explain things and also, has Anyone been in the situation before with supervisor review? Please help I'm so confused.

Honest, I just wrote a letter because my case was at NVC for 3 months and as a US citizen i should have priority and get answers as far as document review. So it was sent to the embassy.
