This is right , ours went fron administrative processing the same day after the interview and issued just the next day but when we call they tell us his file shows a no show for the interview meaning he did not show up, he went to the dhl office and picked it up, even today we got an email which tells me its automated because it says his case shows a no show so we need to schedule an appointment for his interview, mind you he has his passport with visa, so i dont think they update their website that often maybe due to high volume paperwork which needs completion , you need to go to dhl, depending on when your interview was approved and told to pick it up because all passports are sent back to the embassy after two weeks if you dont pick it up, go to dhl if its not there go to the embassy qith your blue slip and make inquiries, good luck

Has anyone experienced case being placed in administrative process and after several updates on CEAC, status still says ready for interview?

Even though status has been changed several times after the interview, status has never reflected administrative processing. Any input from anyone with similar experience will be appreciated. Thanks.

First fill out  DS 160 application online at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ . Pay the money, thus visa fees at GT Bank, schedule the interview at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com. You will need the reference number on the GT bank receipt in order to make an appointment for the interview as well as the reference number on the ds 160 confirmation page. Very important, make sure all your information are the same, the barcode info on the appointment confirmation page must match the barcode info on the ds 160 confirmation page otherwise you will be turned away on the day.once your appointment is confirmed, you have to print the confirmation page and then get your medicals done at either Akai or Holy trinity. You need the appointment confirmation page before u can get your medicals done. You also have to get the police report and off course gather all your supporting docs in prep for the interview. You should get an instruction packet from the embassy either mailed to the petitioner here in the US or to the beneficiary in Gh

Some people went ahead and paid the money at GT bank and scheduled their interview that way. It is entirely up to you if you want to wait for the instruction packet or proceed

On the receipt there is a code that you use when scheduling your interview.

With the instruction packet, you have a year to get everything done so you will be okay. Most people have expired but the date u receive the instruction packet serves as a formal date and you have up to one year to get everything done. You will be ok.

Has anyone been in a situation where they were asked to fix some items on their DS 160? the interview was not conducted because of issues with the barcode info not matching what was on the system. We went to enquire because the system was not recognizing the receipt number when we tried to schedule another appointment so we felt it will be unfair to pay another money since the interview was not even conducted. Anyway, long story short, we went there this this morning and we have been told to write a former letter explaining what happened, drop it off and pick an answer the same day. Do they usually let you pay again and get another appointment and or they can give u a date to go back. Any input will be appreciated. Thank you

At the time of the ds 160 application, the passport was about to expire and it has been renewed since. our records were updated during the appointment process, however the embassy told him the info they had did not match and he was asked to reapply for a new ds 160. anyone experienced this?

1. Has anyone been in a situation where 601 waiver (misrepresentation) was approved for previous i 129 f but the embassy returned i 129F to USCIS  and per USCIS, it had expired so we were told a new i129f could be filed. the second has been approved and almost time for second interview. anyone experienced this? i was always under the impression, a second petition is not required after a waiver is approved. I am a bit confused. Anyone been through this?

In prepping for the interview, They ask if you have anything you share together so i assume it must be some documentation with both parties on it. Any suggestions on things that can be submitted?

I just did too. They said they mailed our letter since Dec 8th, I cant believe it's still not here. My congressman called yesterday and has requested the instruction packet sent to him as well. They always get quicker answers than attorneys and us. It's sad but we will conquer. Good Luck
