My sister is an international student too. She is living with me now and her school doesnt require students to buy insurance from it. I bought her health insurance from united health care and it's only $61/month ( $300/semester), a lot cheaper than mine. 

I just want to try to see if I can find something more affordable.

I'm an F-1 student. I were married to a US Citizen in Oct 2016, we filed AOS in December 2016. Now the case is pending. I have a question about health insurance. So I'm currently still doing full-time at my university. My university requires all of international students buy insurance through the university. Do I have to buy insurance from my university? ( it's expensive, $900/semester) Can I talk to an advisor and not buy health insurance from my university? I want to find an cheaper insurance company while waiting for my green card. 

Will I violate anything or get in trouble if I don't buy health insurance from my university?

Hi everyone,

I sent my application 2 weeks ago and yesterday I received a text message saying that the fingerprint fee for form I-485 was accepted on December 22 but haven't received any notice about my I-485 was received. Does it mean that the I-485 was received? I'm kinda confused.
