Happily married as of June 05, 2017. Whooohoooo!!! While we did it at the international notary office, I dressed up in a simple white lace dress with a veil and gloves. Heck It was my (our) day, and I made it as special as possible. It was so awesome and I cant believe how nervous I was. It was so hard to leave Cuba (him). It only took 30 days to get the international marriage certificate. I had my HUSBAND (I love that sound) email me it for the packet. My hopes are up again. I just mailed off the packet for the Cr1 Spouse visa today priority express, to arrive by 10:30 am tomorrow. With renewed faith, we go forward.

Hello FernandezA, I am hoping to find some information from someone on this forum who married in Cuba. I am a K1 and scheduled for interview in Havana April 24th. In the awful event that my hubby is denied, even though I see no reason for this to happen, I want to be prepared to file for CR1 immediately. Therefore I am preparing all docs to get married in cuba while there in Havana for the interview if it comes to that. My problem is the legalization for docs to marry. I have authenticated all docs along the chain of command up to the Cuban consulate in Washington DC. I can not find the fees and format to send it in, I even see two possible addresses. I have called the embassy everyday all day and leave messages. No reply. I leave soon and would like to have at least the docs to marry if needed while down there. If you or anyone reading this can help please comment. I am almost at wits end. But this forum gives me so much hope. Thank you in advance.

Yayyyyy! We have his visa appointment. Just finished DS 160, paid fee and made visa appointment this morning. First available was April 24, 2017. Its been such a long confusing journey and I realize we are not done but we are so happy to be making progress. I've read posts ( Cuba Embassy) where the fiancée came to the appointment but the instructions say no one can come including US citizen. Hmm...
