    Did you submit marriage certificate( english and Bengali)  nikanama(English &Bengali) and birth certificate(English and bengali) in your interview?? Did they ask you about your spouse birth certificate as well (Bengali&English)

      Sorry for the delayed response. 

       

      Yes, I submitted the marriage certificate in both English and Bengali as well as the Nikka Nama in both English and Bengali. (You know, the really long blue papers) at the interview. My Husband is the U.S. Citizen, so I only used his passport copy and his US naturalization certificate. 

       

      For the beneficiary (myself) I was born outside of Bangladesh, so had the original certificate from my country of birth (official one) and a translated copy.

      When did you get your police clearance?? Right before your interview?? Or months before? What is the validity of bangladesh police clearance according to US embassy?

      Hi,

      I got this months before, around two weeks before the NVC state. But if you are in the interview stage you should have your Police Clearance no earlier than 1 year before your interview date.
