HI GUYS, CONGRATULATIONS  AND GOOD LUCK !

DO WE HAVE TO REGISTER THE APPOITMENT  ONLINE ? I'M VERY CONFUSED. THE NVC LETTER DOES NOT INSTRUCTED ME TO DO SO.

ALSO, DO YOU KNOW A GOOD AND AFFORDABLE HOTEL IN BOGOTA NEAR THE EMBASSY?

You will find these instructions when you open up the PDF that has all the BGT embassy information. You will need to register and it will prompt you to schedule the biometrics appt as well. I made a reservation at the Hotel Expo Inn for almost a week since my mom lives in Cali. I'm paying $475,000 COL. Hotel Casa Embajada is also a decent bed and breakfast.

I just read the draft of the executive order that trump is signing regarding immigration..looks like somalia (the country my husb is from), is on that list and the ban is for 30 days (for any and all types of immigration and visa issuance) until those countries provide documentation of "sufficient vetting" whatever that means. if they don't meet the requirements, then there's another 60 day deadline, and anything after that it will be a permanent ban.

for those of you who don't believe this is happening, it is. take a look yourself: https://apps.washingtonpost.com/g/documents/world/read-the-draft-of-the-executive-order-on-immigration-and-refugees/2289/

i don't even know if there's a point in checking for an approval from the NVC now, since a visa won't be issued to him anyway. i guess this might be the end of the road for us.

I can understand your concerns but I wouldn't jump into conclusions. I yet have to have a better understanding of what this executive order will mean but it seems it's targeting non-immigrant visas and refugees. I don't think this is your situation. I also think they're just trying to make the process harder. However, don't be discouraged. Have faith that your process will continue. Good luck!

Okay, confirmed - my case is COMPLETE! They asked me to bring the 2015 W-2 of my joint sponsor along to the interview, even though we already included that in the packet but WHO CARES! HOORAY!!

So happy for you! You've been so encouraging of others on this forum. Good luck on everything you do! My case was complete 1/12 and still waiting for an Interview at the Bogota, Colombia embassy ?

So I just got off the phone with NVC, and the representative told me that a supervisor was working on reviewing my documents. Usually I get the usual answer that my documents are in the review department, but they haven't been reviewed yet. Can anyone tell me what this means. Will my case really be completed or am I just getting over excited for nothing??

    Scan Date: 11/16/2016

    Sup Review: 12/29/2016

When I was told last week that my case was "actively" being reviewed, I asked if it was just sitting in la la land or if someone was actually reviewing it. The rep said they were looking at it. The next day I got my cc. Fingers crossed that will be your case! Good luck!

Hello everyone that's still waiting for CC. Just wanted to say that I'm praying for you guys! I know it is so frustrating week after week without hearing anything good from NVC. I just want to provide some encouragement to those in need to just continue or at least try to be positive, you guys are really close to the end of this journey. It's a very long and draining process but everything will workout in the end! I'm sending you guys lots of hugs. Have a good day!

I totally agree. You couldn't believe it when I got my 3 N/A's yesterday after 10 wks of waiting. For those confused about what "review department" means it's the department that reviews the mail (they don't answer calls) Once your case gets sent to supervisor review (if it does) you will probably need to wait another 2-3 wks before your hear something back. Might be less now that they're wording OT and trying to get caught up. Be optimistic! Another thing I didn't do was get an attorney. Some might have a more complicated situation than mine but I have always done all my paperwork on my own without any problems. Hang in there everyone and good luck!! ?

We finally got our interview date for February 10th.

We discovered that we have to register our interview appointment date. Also we have to go to the  ASC ? Busy week, that week scheduling the medical exam , ASC appointment, and then the interview appointment.

Any tips for handling all this in Bogota will be very well appreciated.

My mom will have to go to Bogota as well for her interview. My understanding is that you will need to register your appt online as soon as you get the date, also call right away to schedule the medical exam. I've heard you should go to Bogota 5 days prior to get it all done prior to the interview. When to was your case complete? and when did you get your Interview date? Good luck!
