    Hi, I am contacting you because I think we are both filers from Utah for AOS from K1 and I need advice from a local filer...

    I received a RFIE for marriage certificate...

    I sent it of course but I am wondering if I sent the right document

    I sent a blue certified copy saying "Marriage License" that is signed by everyone + has county seal etc; I asked before I sent it if there was another "Marriage certificate" paper.. but they said this was it for Utah, or at least Washington county. Do you know of any other "marriage certificate" / did you have any other issues? Thank you

      Hi, Lou! The lanscape certificate should only be for display. The portrait one (black and white) with signature of the deputy clerk and seal on the back should be the one you've sent . Where are you in UT? We're in SLC. we called mid feb to ask about the aos starus and it seems like our office is backlogged from september. :(

      Hi thx for your answer!! I am close to St George, way south:) 

      I sent the one with the seal etc not the landscape one, however what I thought might have been the issue is that it says Marriage License on top, and it is a certified (mine is blue) copy of the marriage license + utah seal and clerk signature etc + all signatures... but some states get a different/additional document saying MArriage certificate I guess, in some states it is the same... That's where I am confused (is there another document saying certificate I missed)... I am not sure why the RFIE..I think I depend on the Las Vegas local office so it's a really long wait... Not sure why Las Vegas I guess it is closer but is antoher state.. You were talking about the SLC office I guess?

      Well at least Las Vegas is where I did biometrics... Oh I guess it doesn't mean that is where I will have my interview...
