  1. Thanks for all the advice , very much needed at this time . I knew it would take 3-4 months for EAD , I wasn't sure for the AP.

my canadian company is looking to keep me on a contract work from home out of the Canadian office although till be living in the US. This will happen at least til i can  get my authorization for work .

jopefully that all works out !

  2. Hello !

OUr visa was approved and I'll be heading to the US from Canada in August and getting married in September !!

    A few questions ..

    1) I am selling my condo , I hope to have it sold before I move , if not are there tax implications for living in the US and then having you primary residence in Canada sold once you cross the border ?

    2) I know that after we are married we file for permanent res. , EAD and AP .

For the AP once approved will this allow for multiple entry from Canada and other countries. ? I will need to come back and forth to Canada to move my belongings and thinking of our postponed honeymoon and eventuall work travel I will need to do for my job .

    any advice ?

  3. Most likely will continue to earn Canadian dollars into Canadian account .  Once US work authorization is approved then switch to American site . Company is global wth sites in Canadian and US .

Based on info from lawyer , should be ok but will need to pay Canadian taxes , which I will have to regardless .

still looking into best course of action

  4. Thanks , yes I agree I would need the ap doc if I was travelling back to Canada's , but I have the ability to work out of a home office and service my US customers  .

i guess the question is can i continue to be employed by my Canadian company , even though my EAD and AP are not final

    .

  5. Hello

we are almost thru our process and our visa interview is in a few weeks.

Given the type of work I do , I gave the curtosey of informing my employer my plans .  They are very supportive and would like me to continue to work for them to help bridge the transition .  I am currently employed in Canada and would move to the US in August . At this point I will apply for my AOS and EAD and AP in the US.

My question is whether or not I can continue to still be employed by my Canadian company and be in the US living and having applied for my change of status? I know it can take up to 90 days for work and travel authorization.

Im unsure of what the best way to do this and if it's possible to still work during this time of waiting for the EAD even if from Canada .

    any advice ?

    thanks

  6. Hi

My fiancée and I have applied for  K1 visa , he is in the US and I am in Canada. We have received our NOA2 approval and it is valid until the end of July . We are now waiting for the NVC number And for the file to be sent to the Consulate in Montreal .

We are hoping to have our interview this summer as we have a wedding date for September set ..

My question is .. am I able to travel to the US and return to Canada given our 1-129f approval and before the interview date ? I travel for work and have not notified work of my status.
