  1. ***UPDATE***

So finally i got my oath ceremony scheduled.

    * January 4, my status has been changed to "We placed you in line for your oath ceremony ...etc"

*January 6, my status changed to "Oath Ceremony notice was mailed "

*January 9, I got the letter in the mail.

And my ceremony is scheduled for January 26. :D

Thanks everyone for your input and your help & Good luck for the rest.

  2. Congratulations on your recommendation for approval! We are also in Dallas and my husband has his interview tomorrow morning. I saw online that the Irving TX field office does same day oath ceremonies, so we were hoping that might happen tomorrow. It's definitely disheartening to hear that it could take another month or two, even with a successful interview. I hope you hear back from them much sooner than that! Good luck!

Thank you Okramango! I know it's frustrating! I wish you good luck for your husband's interview tomorrow.

    Please keep us updated.

  3. Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum, i hope to find some answers to my concerns.
So i had my citizenship interview yesterday, everything went smoothly, the officer was super nice and friendly. I passed my English test & civic test correctly and easily, after that, the officer went through my application she said just to update it if anything has been changed since then, like name, address, etc
After she finished she made me sign on my photos. And she said she recommend me for approval. However, when i checked the N-652 (Naturalization Interview Results) which indicated that I indeed passed the tests of English and U.S. history and government. It says "A decision cannot yet be made about your application" , instead of the "Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval."
I also, told the officer that i'm planning to go on vacation overseas this coming February, and i already booked my ticket, she said she can't guarantee anything but she will do her best and she took a note and stick it on my file. I asked her how long it would take ,she said that i should expect something by the end of January or the beginning of February.
I'm really getting frustrated, based on your experiences is this usual/normal? Anybody been through this? how long would it take usually till oath ceremony? mentioning my upcoming trip will possibly affect their decision?:(

Any advice/clarification would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
