  1. So my Fiancee had to take the Sputum test in the Philippines but her results turned out negative on the Sputum test.

I've read in places that you will receive a Yellow piece of paper stating that she is entering US with Class B1 or B2 TB and need to be checked by local health clinic.  However when we went through the POE, she never received any notification.

Do they have a new process of notifying us that we need to get her checked out?  I'm just so confused.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. So I'm looking for advice for our visa process.

    Here is our situation:

    1.  Case number already received.  Letters not received yet.

    2.  I'll be in her country May 27 - June 10.

    3.  We are hoping she can fly back with me June 10.

    4.  We would like to schedule our interview for May 29-June 1 as we will unable to be in Manila from June 2-5.

    5.  She's likely to be on her period from May 14-19 but that is just best guess.

    Assumptions:

    1.  Medical at St. Lukes should be done at least 1 week prior to interview.

    2.  It's recommended to not do your medical after your period or during.

    3.  SLEC requires original of NVC letter.

    So questions/advice requested:

    1. At what point can we schedule the medical?
      • After payment of visa fee?
      • After schedule of interview?
      • Once She has received her packet?
    2. Should she try to schedule her medical for the week of May 8? or can she go after during period?
    3. Any other advice that you can provide that can help us ensure that she flys back with me on June 10 would be greatly appreciated.
  3. So we just received our case number.  Our embassy is the one in Manila, Philippines.  I've read that you can pay the fees immediately so that you can schedule interview and know interview date but I've also read that you should wait till the case is already at the embassy.  We are hoping to get a close interview so that she can possibly fly back with me so paying immediately seems like the best option to get things moving quickly but I've also read that waiting to make sure the case is at the embassy is more prudent.  The thing is NVC said that it can take 2 weeks for the case to arrive at the embassy.

Any experiences or words of advice or opinions on this?

    Thanks

So status update, looks like payment was just posted today on my checking account.  All that worrying was for nothing.  Now just the waiting game and letting the process move forward.

Thanks for all the support and information.  Next up E-Notification and NOA1.  Not too worried now since the check has been posted.  Just a matter of process now.

Just received my E-Notification both in text and Email stating my NOA1 should arrive in 7-10 days.  Thanks for the support will continue to keep people updated.

    So my current status:

    • Dec 21 - sent I-129F
    • Check still not cleared
    • No Email Notification received
    • No NOA1 received
    • Jan 4 - received certified mail return receipt

Should I be worried that the check hasn't cleared and that I still haven't received an Email Notification?  It was certified delivered but from what I hear from most is that their checks have been cashed at the very least.

  6. Jan 4 update

From looking and following K1 Timelines, here is what I've come up with:

    • None past Dec 21 received an NOA1 by Jan 4.
    • 2 filers sent Dec 21 received NOA1 Jan 4 (new)
    • 3 filers sent Dec 21 received NOA1 Jan 3
    • 2 filers sent Dec 20 received NOA1 Jan 3
    • 4 filers sent Dec 19 received NOA1 Jan 3
    • couple lucky ones that sent Dec 19 received NOA1 in December.

So basically, keep patient, get lucky and hope.  Also try to keep your timelines updated so that others can track progress and see where they stand.

    Thanks.

    • None past Dec 21 received an NOA1 after Jan 3.

  8. But she did work in Dubai for 2.5 years during that 5 year period.

    heres the timeline

prior to 4/2012 she lived in philippines

    4/2012 moved to Dubai, UAE

    6/2012 Worked in Dubai UAE

12/2014 left Dubai UAE for Philippines

    1/2015 worked in Philippines

So within 5 years she lived in Dubai and worked there. Does that mean since she isn't in Dubai she doesn't need the Police Clearance?

According to this website: http://uae-embassy.ae/Embassies/ph/Content/2988 there is a process in place to get the Police Clearance. Should we not follow this process?

According to this post: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/357392-interview-done-but-missing-dubai-police-clearance/ there was a delay because of lack of police clearance.

Please let me know what you think.

    Thanks
