Married my First cousin in the state of Indiana, Later realized that the marriage is not legal. Had it voided, as it never happened.
I was advised by an attorney to marry her in your country where its legal and then apply for the visa, now that we are married, the lawyer advises me its best to move out of Indiana and reside in a state where the cousin Marriage is legal.
I can't afford to move. I have a house and a decent job here. Is it safe to just go ahead and apply anyways in Indiana?

I am from Pakistan and yeah Cousin marriage is a norm there and don't see a reason why immigration would have any doubt for it. Its just the whole situation is messed up with the whole marriage deal we did in America and should've known better and now the marriage looks like a beneficial marriage rather then a Bona fide, on top of that we are trying to redo this in the state where marriage was already voided.
