  1. actually i have to show again 2nd joint sponsor as my frst joint sponsors( my uncle and his wife) income dint meet the requirements. my 2nd joint sponsor is my brother but his income also dint meet the requirements and he is showing my bank savings as an asset. in I-864 there is a option part 7 for using intending immigrants assets. ( im the applicant with wife and one child), petitioner is my mom

  2. hi

you are forgetting something, every time the first joint sponsors someone, he has to add himself plus his family, so he always has to have money to cover at least 4 people, his family plus a beneficiary or beneficiaries

so with your sister it was 5 right, 3 for the joint sponsor plus 2 for your sister, which for 5 is $36 minimum. it has to be over 35 for 2016 poverty guidelines

which leaves 19k but to sponsor for your family, he doesn't even have enough left to cover his own family, because to sponsor your family he has to again include his own family of 3, so you can't use the first joint sponsor

now what you can do is split the family and find 2 joint sponsors. the person with $27k will depend on how many people the family consists or if the person is single, unmarried and has no dependents on his or her taxes

if the person is unmarried and has no dependents, the he or she can cover herself plus 2 of your family, minimum for 3 people is over 25k

so can i submit 2 i-864 forms of different sponsors?

  3. first of all i dint know abt this poverty line guidelines. i dint submit yet. see this is soo complicated to understand. as per poverty guidelines if household size is 8 the sponsors income has to show $58000. ( as i said before my joint married sponsor handled 2 cases. one my sister and another me, sponsors own household size including him is 3(him, his wife, his 8yrs old daughter), my sister family 2, my family 3). so my sister family is accepted by consular but for my family they asked co sponsor. now my 2nd married joint sponsor has income $27000. so isnt it enough with first joint sponsor?

it should be 58000 for 8 as per poverty line, so for 7 people its $52000

my frst joint sponsor showed $55000 for 8 so as per poverty line he has still income for 2 of us...so now isn't enough for co-sponsor with $27000.

sorry its complicated for you..thanks for taking time to reply all of u.

  4. Hi, i am an applicant of f3 category and recently interviewed. The consular kept my passport and said all the documents are ok for us but asked me to arrange co-sponsor.

    question 1#

my first joint sponsor(they are husband wife, income #550000) sponsored my family and my sisters family. so there were two separate cases. so for my sisters case sponsor's household size were 5

and for me the size were 6. my sister interviewed same day but before us and she was accepted means consular dint ask anything just said after few days she will get visa. but for us why consular asked for co-sponsor.

    question 2#

now we arrange a co sponsor whose income is $27000. is it enough to sponsor us? if its ok and we submit i-864 form how long it will take to get visa.
