  1. Hi all! My interview has been scheduled for January 11th at London consulate! So nervous! I have a question about the affidavit of support form.. I have contacted my lawyer asking for the signed original in ink as that's what it says on the interview confirmation.

However she has advised that the original was sent to nvc..and so a copy will be fine as they have the original. Can anyone give me some input?

She has advised me not to worry about it but if our visa gets denied as I don't have it and need it, I will be rather furious.

Also I have my documents organised in a file with pockets as that's easy for me to access each document.. is that acceptable?

  2. Hi! Hope someone can help with this. My visa case is complete for my spouse visa and I will be having my interview in London in likely end of January or February.

HOWEVER, I live in northern ireland which means flying for London for said interview.. and evidently many airlines don't accept a drivers licence as a form of ID any more, so I will need my passport to get back home.

So my question is, in circumstances like this, is there a way for the embassy to give you your passport on the day of the interview, or even the next day? Instead of mailing it to you. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  3. Thanks :). You're from Northern Ireland? They don't do interviews in Belfast then? I always wondered how annoying and costly it must be for people so far from London to have to visit the embassy. I'm lucky to be just outside of London.

My lawyer got back to me today, by the way, said he's seen the NVC make these mistakes before and they often just set up an interview and never admit fault or say anymore about it. So it could turn out to be as good as a case complete...

Well that's interesting.. Hopefully because it's their error you won't have to go through too much more. Is he getting in contact with nvc about their error or what happens now?

Yeah, unfortunately they don't do any immigrant visas in Belfast although they do work and student visas apparently. Very annoying seeing as I work literally a 2 minute walk from the embassy in Belfast. Would make it all much easier.

So it means I'll have to fly over for the medical and then again for the interview where I'll have to stay overnight the night before most likely. It's added cost and hassle no doubt but I guess it has to be done. Uber is pretty reliable in London right? I have no sense of direction when it comes to public transport haha.

  4. Congratulations!!! I remember crying when I saw 3 N/As. It finally seems real, doesn't it?

It really does! But now is the time for action, which is the part I've been looking forward to least. Medical and interview. Because I live in Northern Ireland I'm having to fly over for the medical and the interview, and I do not like London haha. But because it's getting me to my husband, I'm definitely not complaining =). Hopefully there'll be some helpful threads regarding medical and interviews in London, I'm an anxious person as it is.

  5. YAY! Congratulations!!! :) You have the same scan date and superview review date as us, and from the UK! So happy for you.

Unfortunately we got a checklist, and it doesn't make any sense - saying the address section was entered wrong, but it's all correct with no gaps...

Oh no! We had a lawyer do ours to avoid any checklists and thankfully she came through. Maybe it's the order its written in? Someone else on the forum may have a similar experience and may be able to help. Hopefully they speed up after your second scan date. The London embassy is supposedly quite quick with appointments so hopefully any time you've lost will be made up there, compared with other embassys.

Stay positive! You are moving forward!

  6. My case is on sup review since nov 18, and everytime i called i get the same response. It can take upto 6 wks, its been 9 weeks today since scan date but have not heard anything from NVC. ?

That does not give me much hope.... However we've gone this far, it CANNOT be much longer. I've heard that they split the cases into regions but all November/December cases seem to be taking much longer than September/October's.

Every day that goes past we are one day closer to our loved ones though. We now just hope for a CC rather than a CL.

  7. Agreed jrigual, I think they're likely reading a script but trying to be nice about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't seen anyone go much longer than 2 weeks or so supervisor review recently, which worries me.

I'll have to speak to my husband about a congressman getting involved but im terrified it could hold it up more by going to a different department or something. I'm getting more anxiety by the hour

  8. Last day of the week... called and still nothing.

This is now exactly 2 weeks into supervisor review from 25th November and just over 8 weeks at nvc since scan date on October 12th.

I feel like they're giving me false hope; "we have to give the time frame as 6 weeks but it may be done any day now mam, you're welcome to call at any time but we will email you when it's complete also" - maybe they're subliminally telling me it's currently under review? Wishful thinking at this point.

Eating my weight in christmas candy waiting =(

  9. Hi everyone, new to the thread but I've been watching it religiously.

Started the whole process in March and in the same boat as everyone here it seems.

Scan date at nvc is October 12th, and sent for supervisor review on November 25th.

I literally call every single morning with no joy, so now on calendar day 12 of supervisor review. Praying for a CC and not a checklist.

I want nothing more than to be with my husband before our first anniversary in March.

Good luck to everyone. Keep those CC posts coming, you give the rest of us hope
