where do i get the cheapest ticket to bring my spouse here from India,Is it worth to buy tickets from here and send overseas does anyone know any travel agent??

HI fortune, it will be lot cheaper to purchase the ticket from india as one way tickets are very expensive in US. I bought my spouse's from makemytrip.com(India). You also want to consider have your spouse talk to the local travel agent back home and compare the prices! Good luck with everything.

Dear all

My spouse has been scheduled for an interview on 1st Feb,07 as per DOS and mail from Mumbai Consulate.Her paper work was sent on 12/28.Although she has not received packer 4 yet.!!She needs to submitt the paper work between 11 Jan to 17 Jan.What should we do now?any help Please??

Don't wait for those mails if you have already waited long enough with a no go. We recently had a very similar experience with Mumbai consulate and therefore I would recommend your spouse to pick up Packet4 directly from the consulate/embassy itself. They open from 8am until 3pm and should be able to prepare packet4 for her. You can not download packet4 online as it contains an INterview Letter which they don't have authority to publish it online. If you have questions or concerns regarding this, do feel free to PM me!

First of all, my heartfelt thank you to all the Vjers (especially Sudhierbhai,Lak&Ahm &Ausiewench) for their great support and providing such a helpful resource on the forum. Wouldn't have done it so quicker without you! Thank You!. My wife just finished with a very successfull interview at Mumbai Embassy and got the visa approved! She spent good 8hrs at the embassy due to long wait times and so many applicants being interview on first month of the year! I didn't get into so much details about the interview however, I will have more info later on today to help out other VJers! My wife did state that she was asked only two to three basic questions about Me and they did not even ask her about the proof of our relationship! it was very straight and simple interview! These were her exact words. Hope it helps other who are going through mumbai embassy for their upcoming interviews!

If possible, you should have your fiancee go to the embassy and pick up a copy of the appointment letter. If you already know your interview date, they will give it to her.

But my fiance is not here in the Phils Hes now,(Union City California) Yes I know my interview date Feb 2, 2007, can I go there and pick up the copy of appointment letter?

oh yes absolutely, any embassy in the world offers a copy of an appointment letter in case you never receive it in the mail. I recommend u picking it up directly from the embassy if you waited long enough.

We have not received packet 4 yet. But I emailed the embassy yesterday asking if they received packet 3and to please email once packet 4 is sent. We never received packet 3 the first time they mailed it. I got a reply this morning saying they received packet 3 and our interview would be scheduled in 8-12 weeks. That may be a standard reply, as i read from another member they got a silmilar reply and ended up with an interview in about 30 days. Or at least i hope it is sooner! Thanks for the info. You re absolutely right. thats just their copy and paste standard way of greeting us Once they received pac3 response from my beneficiary, we got packet4 within just two weeks! As long as you keep emailing them to check status on your case, you will get something sooner than expected! Communication is the key!

yeah tell me about it. I had pretty boring and a sad xmas myself Actually my brother in law's engagement ceremony was held today backhome and they've had like 300 people at the ceremony with different varieties of food at the reception and all our relatives. i missed it and missed my wifey the most! It's all good though...Glad its all over! I'm gonna watch some tv for a while and hit the shack soon. i'm off tomorrow so will be watching out for after holiday sales. need to get some shopping done for a trip i m planning next month! Has anyone went thru the medical in Mumbai. What exactly do they check and do females get a female doctor? My fiancee is concerned about this.

My wife just had her medical examination done last week. We called Breach Candy Hospital to get an appointment for medical examination and luckily got the 1st one for 7.30am. She was in there for good 3-4hours as there were quite a few patients during that time. I didn't get into details of what exactly was done to her but I'll have detailed info for u today when i talk to her and will post it here. Please follow the link above and it has pretty much everything (including medical info) that you need to know regarding K-3 visa and Mumbai Embassy! Hope this helps.

Very nice, you can at least have and make plans. We have to go thru Casa and from what i gather almost a impossibility to clear quickly, guess i just dont want to anticipate to much so there wont be so much disappointment. I doubt i can go back for long time, I guess if they say no at interview, then maybe, but until i find tht tree that grows money ..........

Yeah i know what you mean. Even I never had plans to go back to pick up wifey if it wasn't for her brother's huge wedding. It will be worth to spend money on a trip as my wife never been to states and leaves oceans and oceans away from here! Its a huge culture shock for her and I want to ensure she has all my support. You guys hang in there also. It'll be well over before you even know it.. does your beneficiary's embassy has a website set up? If so, I recommend checking it out once you obtain NOA2! good luck with everything.
