No NOA2 is nothing special, just telling you to wait for 6 weeks, the notice from NVC will have more useful details.

Others have posted what it says around the forum, I don't have a direct link right now.

You'll get another update in about another 2 weeks that it was sent to the state department, but you'll still have to wait maybe another week after that till its actually received and in their system till you can get your case number.

    K..thanks

Oh My!! I wish you good luck this time. My PD is Dec 5th - Nebraska. Still waiting. So what happens now? If you file back paperwork, how long will they take to process it, another 8 or 9 month? I hope not. This is scary and traumatizing.

I am so sorry to hear that.. really sucks.. hang in there.. I know it may not help to hear right now but my husband always tells me when i am feeling defeated.."the tougher the battle the sweeter the victory " keep us updated if u can.  What was the reason they gave you..or extra info they requested .if u don't mind me asking

Seems as if People from countries like Jamaica and Ghana take longer. Why I don't know cos our husbands are just as priceless to us as anyone's else's from other countries. I've shed many tears in this process and pray it gets over like yesterday not being fast enough..

Our I-130 was approved yesterday 8/15/17!

    PD: 12/2/16

    Office: Nebraska Service Center

    Approval date: 8/15/17

I am a US Citizen, my husband is from Mexico and has been in the US for 12 years. We've been married for one year and together for 10 years. Next we will start on the i-601a waiver. Hopefully that process is quicker!

    Good luck to everyone!

CONGRATS ☺☺ my pd is 12/8..also in Nebraska ...still waiting...but my husband  is in Jamaica and has never  been here..this is agony but i can see the light at the end....a little

I am hoping it depends on how long *we* take to send the papers and not how long *they* take to process. But I think the interview has to do mostly with how busy the embassy is?

That would be awesome. As long as it doesn't go beyond December I would be happy.

How much are AOS fees now? and what other fees should I know that are coming if anyone knows from the top of your head..    I'm so glad I got my paperwork in before it went to $525.00.

    Hey all

Our PD is Dec 16, so going on 5.5mths now....

My husband just got approved for a tourist visa so we can finally go and meet the parents, he was issued a 10yr tourist visa.... in the paperwork it says the duration of stay is determined by the immigration officer at entrance. Does anyone know if the max time allowed per trip is 3 or 6mths. We are thinking of going for 5mths.

    THanks all and good luck

    K&D

Wait..we can apply for tourist visa While we wait for the NOA2????

  10. I need someone else to do the AOS with me for my husband. I have 2 people willing here is the situation for both.

    1st Person...currently unemployed as of October..November

But has 3 years of tax returns and 1 year of proof of employment...(Pay stubs)

Is she eligible to be on the AOS?

2nd Person...has proof of employment and tax returns but she is on state housing..

    Will her housing be affected?

Is she eligible to be on the AOS?

    Thank You

  11. I will need to have a family member join in on the affidavit of support form being I don't make enough on my own

If this person I choose can prove 3 years of employment but has not filed her taxes in 3 years should I just not use this family member as a co signer

She said she hasn't filed because she owes school loans or something I don't know for sure.. but she definitely has a steady job for over 6 years or more

    Please help.thanks

  12. I'm at the same point as you. I'm filing for my husband.

Because I added the g1145 I received by email anc text and then mail that our case is being processed and it is being sent to Nebraska. I know the next step is getting financial documents together 3 years tax returns and 6 months of proof of income and the i864 form.

Form me I need another person to go on with me to show more support financially.

And the request for this information will take a few months to my understanding with a 70.00 fee.. again I'm still learning I came across this thread I'm posting below that is a bit confusing but seems to be very detailed of the process let me know if it helps
