  1. Hi!

I have a question about my friends situation. She got married on January 20th, sent her papers a month later, had biometrics on March 23rd. On April 1st she got NOA about interview that she will have on May 8th. Since i'm already done with my adjustmant and removing condition i've been helping her and she's been comparing her situation to mine. Not just me but other people we talked to have interview after 6 or more months from sending their paperwork. I know every case is different but she's wondering why she got interview notice so fast. I think that the sooner the better but she's scared that it's too early, that they don't have enough time to gather evidence...anybody has simillar timelines? is it unusuall?

    thanks for your help!

  2. Hey guys!

Just wanted to let you know that i got my notice of removal of conditional...bla, bla bla everybody knows whats there. I sent the my papers on September 19 2008 they got to California on September 23. Decision date on the removal notice says 2/20/2009 so its 5 months.

Hope it will help those who are still waiting. Im not a very active member here but everytime i was visiting this site posts with info like this one were making me feel like im getting closer; its comforting seeing that things are going pretty fast and smooth.

    good luck everybody!

  3. I say that if their exclusion would show a large gap in the period since you've been married, include them with a note attached that states that while there shows less activity during your husband's period of unemployment, you maintained a joint account.

    Thanks!

that's more like an answer i've been looking for. I was thinking that explanaition should be in the cover letter but note attached to our "bank part" of evidence is probably a better idea.

  4. Is it a requirement to submit every bank statement from beginning to end?

Health insurance is not a factor except as one form of evidence that you are in a bona fide marriage. One recent bank statement in both names should be more than enough to provide further evidence.

No, it's not a requierment to provide every single bank statements. In my undrestanding, it is important to make sure, that the evidence covers whole two years though. Our 2007 evidence just looks worse. Thats why i'm concerned and i think that maybe i should let them know why.

    Thanks for responding guys!

  5. Hi everyone!

We're gathering our paperwork to lift the condition off my greencard and i have a question about the gap we have in our bank statements and health insurance. My husband lost his job at the beginin of 2007 and didn't start working again till October 2007. Because of that we lost health insurance for over a year and our checking and savings accounts activity is visibly smaller on the statements from 2007.

Should i explain that in the cover letter? I don't want it to look suspcious for them but on the other hand i don't know if explaining it isn't to much....?

besides that we have taxes, lease agreement, some bills, private corespondence, affidavits from friends, new health insurance and our bank accounts show more activity now

  6. Hello!

I'm not the most active member but forum helped me a lot when i was waiting for my interview. I was really scared because of the silly things people say about interviews-all this stories that they ask about underwear and color of coffee maker... My husband was telling me that i'm paranoid and everything will be fine and i wouldn't listen...now he's laughing at me cause he was so right!

We were scheduled for 9.30am on Wednesday the 6th. We had to wait for 30 minutes to be called in. We got in at 10 and we were done at 10.15! The lady that was interviewing as was very nice and polite. She was quiet, teacher like type of person which made me feel very relaxed and comfortable despite being squeezed behind her desk in the little room. She asked how we've met- we got confused cause we didn't know who should answer and she didn't indicated so i made Justin talk. Then she asked me all the no questions, my name, my parents name, how my dad feels about me being married and away from home. She asked Justin why he moved to Tahoe, if he met my dad and if we had a big wedding. Then she asked for our proofs of relationship. We had: health insurance together, car title, selfphones contract , bank accounts, pictures. We don't have rental agreement so we had to explain why. She went out to take copies of pictures and some of the documents. Then she came back and said that i'm gonna get the answer in the mail. I got scared again cause she didn't say if it's approved or not but i didn't know if i should ask or not....then she said that if it is aprroved it will be conditional for first two years...etc. So we went out and i knew that it went well but why she didn't say it's approved??? I didn't feel good about it BUT today i checked my case status and it says notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident!

I hope everybody will be as lucky as we were. It was really smooth, i would never expect it will be so easy cause my husband was married before and we got married while i was on tourist visa- no questions about it!

Good luck everybody and feel free to ask if u have any questions!

  7. Thanks Cassie!

I do have pics, we have cellphone agreement together, bills and bank account we gonna start do together as soon as i start working(hopefully next week  ) cause for now we both have separate bank accounts and we want to keep it this way and add one we can share. The problem is health insurance- we wanna move soon so there's no point in adding me to his at work if he's going to change his job soon and it takes 3 months before it starts working. And house owners- if we ask them for the letter they gonna want us to sign new agreement and pay the deposit. For now they don't really care who lives there as long as we pay and i keep all money orders copies...maybe that's enough? Still have lots of time so i figure sth out and look for more here!

    Take care!

  8. Hi guys!

I usually just read topics on the forum-my internet connection gets bad every time i try to send sth, hopefully it's going to be fixed soon  ...anyways- i've been married for 5 months, got my EAC and everything seems to go fine except this that i'm concern about getting proofs of our live together since our interview is getting closer and closer, while my husband says that i'm paranoid and we're going to be fine...well we don't have rental agreement for the house where we live(we would have to pay big deposit to get it and now we just pay month to month, all i have are money orders with our names), no insurance together...i don't really know what papers we should start thinking of to have for the interview??? right now we just live happily but i feel like i should start being the responsible one! please let me know what is important and what should we have ready for interview, i'll appreciate any suggestions!
