Hi guys,
I'm about to file for Adjustment of Status for a second time (first time I was denied due to my husband not meeting the requirements for affidavit of support) our financial situation has since changed and we're ready to file. I completed biometrics the first time, will I need to do it again? Or will they still have everything on file from the first time?
My original biometrics was completed on July 08 2016.
Thanks!

Thanks everyone, I understand why I was denied. I just need to know if when I reapply for the change of status, will I need to also reapply for the permission to work and travel? When I got the denial letter it said they were both revoked, will they be reinstated when I reapply or will I have to submit the forms and pay the fee again?

Without interview, sure I'll try.

It is quite unusual for AOS to be outright denied, unless you files something wrong, such as didn't include the fee or made the check out for too much. As mentioned, there is little we can advice until we know why you were denied.
That being said, you SHOULD be ok to re-file and be legal until that second one is determined, unless you already got a removal notice.
Hey, I did say in an above post why it was denied. We still have 27 days to file a motion so I should be ok until then, do you know how long it usually takes to receive a removal notice?

Can the assets be easily liquidated? Listing things like your primary home, care, car etc. would not be acceptable. How many times the minimum value were these assets worth?
Easily enough, he did list a couple of cars amongst other things so I guess that's why it was denied. I can't remember how many times the minimum value was, it was awhile ago and my husband filled out all of the paperwork. I just know he said it was much more than required.

Yeah it is an option for the I-485 but we unfortunately don't have anyone to ask.

Lack of evidence, he didn't make enough money to support me this year but it says you can list assets. We did that but they've decided that even if you exceed the value of assets they required they deny you anyway

Hi everyone/anyone,
I was recently denied my I-485 (change of status), I'm confused as to what will happen now. Reading around it says I can be removed? I thought once we were married I was allowed to stay and that I just won't be able to work or travel until I got my green card. I think we're going to reapply because again reading around suggests USCIS doesn't like to change their mind or admit mistakes, when we do apply again will I need to file for approved parole again or will it be reinstated while my new I-485 is pending?
Also trying to get an appointment through infopass is impossible.
Thanks
