USCIS Service Centers
If you contacted the National Customer Service Center with a case-related inquiry and more than 30 days have passed and you have not received a response, you may email the appropriate USCIS Service Center with your inquiry:
California Service Center: csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov
I don't think that we can even make a case-related inquiry until we are outside of their fake processing times. Is that right?
We could send emails to this address anyway en masse(hundreds?), so they know we are here.... maybe someone will take pity....

Yes, but it is almost guaranteed to have no effect, so it would be hard to ask people that lived more that an hour away to show up. Would soak up some excess energy, though... :-)

For what it's worth, I contacted my congressman. I got a call back from an administrative assistant that gave me the usual canned answer of "you are within the processing time, so there is nothing we can do until you are out of it." Then I explained about the delays at CSC and kept insisting she call the CSC to see if she could find out anything. She finally agreed to do it and called me back with the result the next day. Basically, nothing extraordinary is happening.... they will try to hire more people to speed things up.
So, at least somebody at CSC heard from a Congressman -- I recommend that others try to force a call to CSC from their congressman so that they realize that their delays are not unnoticed. Remember, you are their client. The other semi, sort of good news is that supposedly nothing extraordinary is going on (supposedly). Of course, the overriding fact is more bureaucratic BS without much data.....

RIght now (11:25 PST), there is a Twitter conversation at #AskUSCIS that is supposed to answer questions directly from USCIS. Mostly bureaucratic, but may be worth a short at submitting more 129F/CSC questions.
