We just signed the car lease 2 weeks ago so yes, it was not sent initially.

I sent in 2013, 2014, and 2015 Tax Transcripts with the N400. Just in case, before the Interview, I had printed out all the Account Transcripts (to show I have 0 balance) and Tax Return Transcripts for 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and I'm so glad I did it otherwise it would have resulted an RFE

I am just confused with this whole evidence thing. Eg if you already had 2015 transcript in, how would a second copy of the same thing help them?

It went well. The interview was scheduled at 3pm. I got there at 2:35 and didn't get called in until 3:40.

I noticed some people came in after me but still got called earlier. Probably their IOs finished other cases faster.

My IO was neither pleasant nor unpleasant. She was kind of neutral. When I got into her office, she had a big binder of all my paperworks on her desk.

The interview itself was approx 20mins from start to finish. We started off with a little chit chat about the weather. Then she asked me to give her my GC, passports, and driver's license to make copies.

After that we proceeded with the English and Civics tests.

She gave me a piece of paper and asked me to read "Where is the White House?" then another piece of paper and asked me to write "The White House is in Washington DC." She then asked me 6 questions as follows:

    1> What is an amendment?

    2> Who vetoes bills?

3> To which do we show loyalty when we say the Pledge of Allegiance?

4> Who did we fight in WWII?

5> What is the Supreme Law of the Land?

6> What is the capital of your state?

Then we went over my N400, made some adjustments. She asked for more evidence of my marriage. I gave her a recent Car Lease that we just co-signed. She also took my 2015 and 2016 Tax and Account Transcripts. I reached out and almost gave her more paperworks then she said: "That's all I need."

Then she gave me form N-652 and said: "Congratulations! I just approved your case. You should expect to receive your oath letter in 2-3 weeks."

I shook her hand and thanked her. She then showed me the way out.

I was probably one of the last people that got interviewed yesterday since when I walked out, they were already closed.

One more note, during the time that I was there I didn't see anyone getting their oath letters right after the interviews. They all went straight to the door when done.

Nice, congrats! Were those marriage evidence not present with the initial application?

The interview itself was short. I was asked 5 questions from American history, to read a short sentence and write a sentence that was given to me.

Since all answers were correct, I wasn't asked anything else. They checked all papers in my file since we filled papers back in 2009.

Only docs I had to bring were driver's licence, green card and a passport.

They went through all your paperwork since 2009??:o

Hi! My husband passed the interview (yay!) but now we have to submit a list of docs showing proof of our marriage. I have some questions about them:

Tax returns - It says federal and state and W2s. Are the 2-page 1090 forms enough or do they also want Schedules? We e-filed so our copies don't have a signature. Does that matter? Should I get certified copies from the local IRS center?

"Mortgage Agreement for each year since 2013" - Hmm, not sure what they mean. Do they want mortgage statements for each year of our mortgage?

Bills with our names and addresses since 2013 - Please don't tell me they want a copy of every month of utilities for the last 3 years! Or should I provide one bill from January of each year?

Bank accounts - same question, will one month of each year suffice?

"Other" - I guess this would be docs showing we are beneficiaries of each other for pension/IRA/etc, we are on the same health insurance, car insurance. What else??

    Thanks for any guidance!

Were these not submitted initially with the application?

Thank you so much. I hope you solve your problem. I'll also travel but luckily my interview is 2 days after my return date.

Mine is same day in AM as well. However, this is the day I was suppose to travel, now paying $150 to postpone the flight by a day. There will be a week of international travel between interview and oath, hoping everything goes well.

They only work Monday to Friday. They do NOT work on Saturdays, Sundays, or US National Holidays. And that is the way they count days as well.

And keep in mind, emails are automated and delayed. So, if you receive an email on the weekend, it does NOT mean they are actually working on the weekend. It's normal for it to take awhile to receive email.

If you search up on the top right side in the google VJ search box, you can see threads going back years that talk about this issue.

Good to know. Mine was on Saturday but if that means it was actually processed earlier then it is even better.

  7. If it is pending a name check one of our background checks that are done by the FBI and he has a common name unfortunately those pending name checks are totally out of the hands of USCIS and no lawyer or congressional inquiry is going to change that. When our office submits the name check the FBI takes over and we are also at the mercy of them running their background checks, many times common names get tied up for a very very long time. I've interviewed cases before the NBC stopped forwarding files for interview when the name check was still pending and some of those cases were pending for 2 years after we did the interview and the name check was still pending clearance and a final result from the FBI. Sadly there is nothing you can do, it's nothing you did wrong and at USCIS we can't even speed them up with the FBI. It's been a frustration for years. You can do a congressional inquiry or have a lawyer do an inquiry to verify that it is indeed pending the "name check" and if that is the case, there is nothing that can be done. At least when I was still interviewing 3 years ago, we couldn't do anything to speed up the process with the FBI, we were at their mercy which really sucked. :(

Oh I just saw your post!! That is great!!!!! :dancing::dancing:

Does being "in line for interview" mean FBI check is done or the check process has started?
