Thanks for the info
Hi what number did you call?

Have they given you a reason as to why you were denied?

Hi everyone, maybe someone can answer this. My fiance and I will be coming to the U.S together once approved. Are we able to stop in a different country and vacation there, then fly over to the U.S? I am not sure how strict the guidelines for a K1 visa are. I do however know that once he enters, he is not allowed to exit and come back in until he gets his green card.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, I don't see reason why not, couple weeks long layover in Paris maybe :)? Hell yeah!
But personally I would not risk it. What if there is an unforeseen delay in the layover country? My suggestion is to get the US papers, then travel anywhere you want.

I believe they assign the numbers in the order the cases were received. Other than that, I don't think it holds any specific meaning.
Do you think they skip cases? I've seen cases getting the second letter after ours, which makes me think if they are even going by "first come, first serve" as they say.

No didn't send any photos I will now.. tons of em, do they have to be on photo paper, was planning on printing them on my computer
So what I did was, I've created the album. I've used about 15 color developed photos, for example when we were in church, when we went out to see the city where my fiance grew up, conservative type photos, smiling, hugging and such. I wrote on the back of each photo when and where we were at the time. Then I've used a transparent 8.5x11" sleeve and taped 3 to 4 pictures inside each. I've also included pictures of any relatives that we visited as an additional proof. Its just easier for them to review. The person that helped us put together petition said they don't need ton of pictures, just the ones important to you and your fiance, none of those overly exposed pictures "sexy" pictures.

Okay so I received my RFE today and it's asking for proof that we have met in person, but I already provided them with that proof of my passport, boarding pass etc..should I just submit it all over again!!
Have you provided photographs? Maybe that is what they are asking for.

She is married to a US citizen, that is it. Go to court if they give you trouble.

Seems like CSC may have overloaded the system. Lots of work done yesterday! Good job, men & women.
As for today, there's 15 RFEs, 1 denial, and 1 bounced mailing so far.
Hi, I'm just wondering where is the data coming from? Is it from VJ user data or USCIS database API? Thanks
-
Yeah, I did that a week ago and got the same thing. I don't think you can do anything until it passes their time frame, probably 4 - 5 months. If you get the same thing again, they contact your state congressman and ask for help. I'll do the same thing if I don't get anything in the new few weeks. Its past three months for me.

I have a nephew that currently lives in Bosnia, we are looking into two future college student options. One is starting the college in Bosnia for a year or two then applying to come to US for undergrad college though some program. Another option we were looking at is starting the undergrad college in US. He would also look into getting the Graduate/Doctorate as he is a A+ student and eventually stay in US permanently. What kind of visa we should be looking at? Can he work while in US while studying? Can he stay the entire time while in college in US or does he have to travel back in between sessions? Does anyone have any experience with this? Where do we start?
PS. I realize I might have posted this in the wrong forum. I'm not sure how to move it to appropriate forum.

Unless they indicate that they want the original, send a color copy of what they are asking for. Is the her birth certificate card the official gov issued document? If so make a color copy of front and back and mail it back to them. If she has a passport, the easiest is to make a color copy of the pages that have her information and mail it back to them.

I've lived in St. Louis for the last 17 years. There is a lot to do in midwest, people are friendly, with a lot of immigrants from all over the word. Its cheaper to live than on the coast and there is a lot of job opportunities.

If you have already submitted the form and there is no way to edit it, if asked about it tell the truth, don't give more details than asked. Tell them that you could not find the documentation in police records to support the claim, perhaps they were not cited since you were children.
-
Yes! Ask for a police report from local or county police station a report everything that you got such as tickets, convictions to the best of your knowledge.

If she has a tourist visa already and she is in US, go get married. She needs to carry marriage certificate with her anywhere she goes in case they stop her. Then file for Green Card on the basis of the marriage. You have better chances if you are a citizen.
If she is not in US, the safest way would be to file petition I-129F and go through the process. Seems to be safer option but it could take up to 6 months before she get the fiance visa.
In either case you will need to prove that you have a true relationship and evidence that your have met physically in the last two years of filing the petition.

Don't take what people say as your guide. Embassy will call the number you put in the I-129F to let you know. They will email you instructions on how to fill out DS-160, how to pay for it. In my country we could not setup an appointment until we followed the instructions on how to pay, the way we paid was we had to go to the bank they instructed us and deposit the money, we got a receipt from the bank. Then after few days we got an email receipt from embassy that we paid and we could continue to setup an medical and interview, but every country is different.
