After waiting 2 yrs and 28 days, we finally had our AOS marriage interview in Miami today.

The interview was scheduled for 10:15am. We arrived at 9:45am. Was checked in at 10:03am. Was called into the interview at 11:15am. The interview was completed by 11:25am.

The IO asked our names, DOB, phone numbers, address, and a general question of how did we meet. We were also asked the name of our parents (not the other persons parent). We were asked for evidence of the marriage and a copy of out ID.

Then the IO went over the questions on the application, confirmed our signatures and we were done.

However she did not say if we were approved or not.

So now I guess here comes another waiting game!

Patience is key in all of this! I'm thankful that I had this thread to help keep me sane!

I had made an inquiry back in January got a response in march saying that my case is within the processing time. I also contacted the ombudsman for assistance, they called last week to confirm that i received GC. Told them i did not, they said they will continue to look into my case.

But based on the uscis website anyone with a receipt date before August 30 can inquire. So im waiting to see what happens when my Sept date arrives.

Hello everyone hope all is well with you all.

I noticed the thread came to a halt hopefully thats good news that everyone else got their interview and approval.

I'm still waiting Aug 13 would be 23 months wait. According to USCIS processing times the i-485 process in the miami office takes 23.5 months.

So my toes and fingers are crossed for an interview notice soon.

As far as i know, people from Nov 2016 already got their interviews in Miami FO. There must be something delays your case i believe. I would suggest you to take an appointment to see whats going on ...

I have called, I have submitted an online inquiry for each of my receipt numbers, I've also been looking into scheduling an info pass appointment, but the website is not showing any available dates.

I received one response stating that the case is still processing and everything will be processed at the same time.

I never once received an RFE.

My Sister just recently did her interview in the Oakland Park Florida Office. She took an entire packet based on the checklist provided when they sent the interview letter. The only thing they took were copies of  their drivers licence, copy of their marriage licence, and the officer picked thru the pictures.

She had bank statements, proof of insurance, but they did not request either of those things.

We had my fathers AOS interview yesterday and we did NOT get approved on the spot.... He had a prior immigration case from back in 2001 that they had questions about. Stated that if "everything checked out we will get approval in 4-5 weeks" ... interview seemed like it went ok BUT you never know until you actually have a letter approving you.

 

as for my mother, no AOS interview yet... just the RFE we got back in 10/12/17 requesting medicals again. we sent them back and still nothing since then.....

 

this is a never ending process.

Hopefully something works out soon.

We are still waiting on a response for either the EAD renewal that was submitted in August (EAD Expired in Nov), or the i-485 interview notice. I-485 application was submitted in Sept 2016.

Contacted the USCIS office, the officer agreed that case was outside of processing time and submitted an inquiry.

So currently i have 2 pending inquiries, one from December 2017 and the other Jan 2018, both have yet to be assigned to an office for processing.

The wait continues....

Still have not heard anything back from our I-130, I-485 petitions since receiving the receipt notice in 2016. (sent in an inquiry May 2017 - responded saying still in process no RFE pending)

Currently awaiting decision on the i-765 renewal approval. Received the receipt notice. Was able to use it to renew my drivers license.

However employer not accepting it along with expired EAD Card, says the actual valid renewed card needs to be in hand.

The wait continues!

We are still here patiently waiting with a priority date of Sept 6 2016. Filed in Miami Florida. Recently Applied for a EAD renewal which expires in November.

My priority date is Sept 6 2016. My field office is Miami. Haven't heard anything since receiving my EAD in Dec 2016.

Miami FL here, still waiting on Interview Priority date Sept 16, 2016. Received EAD Dec 1, 2016.

Having the EAD card... would one recommend applying for a state ID card first or a drivers license first?
