Please move to the right forum if this isn't the right place.

I wanted to create a google doc spreadsheet showing the timeline from the interview thru reaffirm till the interview decision.

I believe this will help give everyone a good estimate as to how long they can expect to wait.

Please copy and paste in your comment with your responses.  When I have enough dates, I will share for everyone to be able to keep up with it

I will need help from all of you folks especially through the Ghana embassy to fill out this information below:

    Username:

Provide the following dates if you have them:

    Interview:

    Received at NVC :

    Received at USCIS:

    Received NOIR/NOID:

    Reaffirmed :

Sent to embassy (date, that it left the USA):

    Arrival at embassy:

    Interview Date:

    Approved? (Y/N):

if we don't have something like this, we will keep posting here and asking people for estimates when we could all chip in to get the estimates.

The spreadsheet will calculate the number of days it takes from one step to another.

    Let's make this happen.

    Thank you guys!

I've very sorry to hear :(  I heard that Ghana is a tough consulate but I am wondering - did they deny him a visa because of just social media questions??

To be honest I don't know why they denied him even asked him why I came so much to Ghana. I went three times after we got married what kind of question is that. And yes I believe they denied him on the social media questions because he had pictures of children which I feel like they think those are his children and he has no kids and even if they were his kids why would he lie to them about having his children it's just so stupidTo be honest I don't know why they denied him even asked him why I came so much to Ghana. 3.  So my husband did not pass his interview yesterday we got placed in administrative processing. Which seems so crazy. The questions they asked him what just ridiculous. They asked how we met they asked him what I do for a living I asked him why did he use pictures of children on his social media. I'm assuming they feel like those kids were his and just crazy . They asked why did I come and visit him so often. Like because he's my husband and I married to him like what kind of question is that. They asked him why my daughter was on his family in is Facebook but not me. I'm trying to not let this bring me down I don't even know what happens in  administrative processing. I most definitely can say this is heartbreaking and very sad. I can't tell you how much I cried but I realize I still had to be strong. I still have to do what ever it takes to get my husband home.

Finally, finally, finally!  Have an interview date.  Not as early as we'd hoped, but what can you do.

Interview date is March 27.  That means we'll miss our anniversary, and I'm a teacher and I've got spring break the week of our anniversary so I'll have to go back to work before he even gets here.  But, we'll take it...

I'm so happy for you...... finally ?????

My wife only visited once. She was in "secondary" for about 2 hours (we were travelling together so we both were). We were pretty much harassed so she hasn't done it again.

That being said, most people here have said they have had fine experiences. I think we got unlucky with the people. They didn't even ask us any questions, ask for any of our documentations. First guy at the window sent us straight to the secondary area, and then the officer who interviewed us (each separately, alone) introduced himself by saying that he had X years of experience and that he would see through our bullshit (his exact word) and that we weren't going to get anything by him. Maybe he was just trying to intimidate? No idea. Wasn't a great experience.

You guys are even lucky that you're in a country that allows your spouse to visit. When it comes to high-risk countries your spouse can't even visit. So you guys should be happy about that . I wish my husband could come and visit me and see me. But it's always me flying to Africa to see him.

  6.  Hello everyone. I have had a long NVC and USCIS process. But I realize that's part of the process. I think NVC I realize they have to verify everything the document you send to them. So for the affidavit of support they have to verify that you're making income that you say you're making. They have to verify the birth certificates and  police certificates. I realize it's not easy for them. But I realize that we want something more which is our loved ones. And they have a job to do to make sure everyone is doing right. So they don't know what countries are trying to be deceitful and pass a fake documents I do realize now that they verify each document that it's real  so just Be patient it will happen and it's hard I was depressed for a while and now I'm actually so happy so I still can't wait until he gets his interview date. Stay blessed

Don't give up hope. I called every day twice a day I was at my wits end I was depressed and it will happen just give it some time. Sometimes I don't know if it's your affidavit of support that might help you a little bit faster for them to approve you but trust me they are reviewing you but they have to review your documents to. I almost lost it stay strong ?
