    K3 Processing time for India

    Check my time-lines

    I thought the K3 visa processing used to take only 3 months (at least at the beginning of 2006), but now it seems like it's taking over 6 months. Has anyone recently applied for a K3 visa for a spouse in India, and if so, can you please let me know how long the processing is taking before the NOA2 is recieved and till the actual interview date (for those that applied last year).

    It also seems like the I130 is taking the same amount of time. What suddenly happened to the K3 processing? Why is taking so long all of a sudden? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Going by your timeline, both the I-130/CR-1 application and the I-129F will be at the consulate fairly close together so I wouldn't be worrying about anything. As has been stated, the approved I-130 & CR-1 application once at the embassy/consulate will override the I-129F and any application for the K-3.

    ** Aussie wench -- I have seen a lot of replies from you in this forum. and personally feel your replies very informative.

    Hopefully my CR1 goes fast. what if the k-3 reached embassy first and then CR1 after some time. Then what do I do?

    1. Do my wife show up at embassy for k-3 interview and tell them we are expecting CR1 shortly. OR

    2. Get the k-3visa and wait for CR1 interview without travelling to USA.

    ** All I want is to avoid the AOS process delay if she accepts k-3 and comes to USA ( I am Ok with my wife to wait a little longer in the home country and get this immigration stuff done once for all).

    Thanks a lot!! It really helped me.

    There is no bar code on the actual DS-230, only on the cover sheet. See James Shortcuts for generating the bar code.

    Yes by biographic pages, it is referring to the passport.

    1. I have a signed DS-230 part 1 ( from the beneficary) .. Can I fill the application and send out? ( if I do that how to keep all the bar code stuff if any on DS-230 Form)

    2. I am sure when you say biographic page .. (its not G-325A) .....

    U mean It is the first two pages of Beneficary passport ( which has all the benficary Biographic information .. right?)

    Questions I have is as follows:

    1. Do I need to send the DS-230 Part 1 Sent by NVC for the beneficary signature before mailing back to NVC?

    2. Can I sign the DS- 230 ( in place of her) as she appointed me as her choice of agent?

    3. Do I need to send a notarized copy of beneficary passport page? or Just a copy is fine?

    Anything else which I am missing.. Pl let me know.

    we just sent our ds-230 package using the barcode sheet from this sight and had no problem with it. sent it last week, monday they had it entered in the system already. whether the barcode sheet looks the same as what nvc sends, cant say cz we havnt recvd it yet.

    Hi All,

    I have sent the DS-3032 ( choice of agent) e-mail to NVCinquiry@state.gov

    Can somebody tell whenever they accpet the e-mail.......

    will it be reflected in the automated response system?

    ( For Ex: The AOS ( affadivtit of support fee bill receival is not reflected and you have to speak to the representative to know about it)

    Pl let me know and thanks for your help.
