  1. Hi there!

I'm new here. :) My fiancée (who is American and currently resides in her homeland) and I intend on applying for a K-1 Visa; how exciting! I work full-time back here in Australia and I've been researching for months to familiarize myself with the process. We have not taken the first step, since my partner is reluctant to file anything as she has not found work yet. She has been unemployed for over two years now but hopes to find a job in the near future; but right now we just wish we could begin already.

    So my questions are:

    1. Can she file a I-129f while being unemployed (as in, file as soon as possible/right now)? Does it look better/is it preferable if she has a job? (We just really don't want to jeopardize anything)

    2. What details/evidence would she have to include while filing the I-135 Affidavit of Support form? And this comes after the I-129f is approved, right?

    3. If she finds a job sometime in the *very* near future does it look bad if she still can't provide any tax info?

    4. Would it be better if her dad was to be the joint sponsor? (Which he is fine with)

If anyone can help me out I'd really appreciate it :) I've looked into some areas very heavily and others less so, sorry if this is really messy, it's very late here right now.

    Thanks everyone!
