I had my interview on Feb. 8th at the San Antonio, TX office and didn't get my oath ceremony letter until  Mar. 31st. The letter showed that they sent it on Mar. 27th. And my actual oath ceremony schedule is on Apr. 24th.

I finally received my oath ceremony letter with the date and place of the event. However, it was addressed to me using my maiden name. I'm not sure if a similar issue has been discussed in this thread before or if this is USCIS' standard procedure (using the applicant's maiden name), but I'm still planning to give them a call to clarify this. If any of you guys experienced the same issue, please let me know! All my official documents (green card, passport from my home country, etc) are in my married name, so I'm not certain why USCIS used my maiden name.

I had my interview at the San Antonio office today, and I passed!  The immigration officer was nice and friendly, and the whole thing only took like 30 minutes. They don't do same-day oath ceremonies, which is what I would have preferred. The officer said I should be getting my oath ceremony notice in the mail in two to three weeks. I then received an email notification minutes after the interview saying that my case status is updated to "Oath Ceremony Scheduled" and that they will mail me the appointment notice. I logged into my USCIS online profile and that's exactly what it reflected.

Aside from the written/oral exam (which was easy peasy), here are the six questions I was asked at the interview:

1. Name one state that borders Canada.

2. When was the constitution written?

3. What is freedom of religion?

4. What age do men have to register for selective service?

5. What ocean is on the east coast of the US?

6. How many senators are there?

I'm glad and relieved to be on the last leg of this immigration journey. Hope everyone's hanging in there! Best of luck to all!

Finally received an interview notice after many months of waiting. I'm an IOE filer assigned to the San Antonio, TX office.

Hi guys, what are the magic words to say to be transferred to an L2 officer? I called before and asked if I could speak to an L2 officer, but no luck; the L1 person I spoke with just said they were handling my case and couldn't provide any further information =/

This is worrisome: on November 29th, USCIS apparently stopped approving N400 applications and cancelled all scheduled oath ceremonies due to problems with the background check system. I had my interview on November 17 and got an update a few days later, saying that my case was recommended for approval but was now under quality review, and that I would be scheduled for the oath soon. I wonder if my status has anything to do with these ongoing problems. Is anyone else in a similar situation---case under quality review and waiting for the oath notice? Is this just a routine status after the interview?

In any case, this story might end up delaying everyone's pending cases for months.

This is so disheartening. =/ I already had to cancel my plans to go back home this month and celebrate the holidays with my family abroad because I didn't want to miss any notices from USCIS. I'm still waiting on my interview appointment and based on this news, I don't believe I'm getting that anytime soon.

Finally got my interview letter. Dated 11/17/16, my interview will be on 12/27/16 at 10:10am in the Lawrence, MA office (instead of the Boston office). Kind of a relief that it is in Lawrence, instead of Boston, because that is a bit less of a pain to get to! The letter said that my interview will take about 2 hours, and I will be tested on reading/writing/speaking English. Is that in addition to the government and history test, or evaluated during the government and history test. I have been studying the questions on the book and CD I received, but is there any other prep I should do?

Any idea when the oath would be? It looks like sometimes it is the day after the interview, and other times it is a couple of weeks after. I suppose I won't find out until after my interview, but I would like to give my boss some notice for the oath ceremony (same for my wife, who would like to attend the ceremony).

Also, never got an in-line letter or date, and my form type is IOE.
