  1. If you're being truthful in your application then I don't understand why it matters or why you're making such a big deal out of it?!?! Whenever you enter/exit the US by plane or boat, the airline or boat company will share their passenger list with the US government. When you enter the US, they take your biometrics and scan your passport. The US government know the date you enter and exit the US.

I know from experience that the CO knows when you entered and exited the US. There's been several posts about this very topic right here on VJ, including someone who overstayed with one day and the next time he returned to the US on the VWP, he was denied entry due to an overstay (one day) and returned home.

Thanx all.The problem is that my petitioner has stayed more than allowed out of USA. Wanna know whether this may result in rejection. This is why i am asking the question. No intention to lie.I will tell the truth if i am asked about this issue.Wanna know whether they know that my petitioner has been out for that much and does it matter to them.

  2. They know everything about you. And of course they do background research on you before the interview. That's why our files are sent to the embassy about a month before the visa interview - so that they can research the person.

If you haven't lied about anything in the application, and if you don't lie about anything at the interview then there's nothing to worry about.

*~*~*moved from "bringing family members of permanent residents" to "embassy and consulate discussion" as question relates to all visa types*~*~*

No lie has been told.Just wanna know whether they know about the PCB records simply. The research is made i know, but not that thorough that the word RESEARCH implies.do you have any experience about this JFH?
